Leah walked around Brightstone village in a sort of daze. She had wanted to get out of the castle, seeing as Brightstone would not be open to the students for long but she just couldn't bring herself to go into any stores. The streets barely had anyone around, but one look inside of The Three Broomsticks almost made her claustrophobic. Of course, she could always go to The Hogs Head, but she pushed that out of her mind, and instead decided to walk around.
It was a hot day, summer was rapidly approaching. Leah, luckily dressed for the occasion wearing short blue jean shorts to show off her smooth legs, and a green spaggetti strap shirt. She sighed, not exactly sure what to do.

Chase walked into Brightstone village, looking for a change, he had nothing better to do, and he thought he might come and check this place out, he had not been here before, but he knew he should have, he headed towards the three broomsticks, and ordered a butter beer. Chase sat down near the window and awaited something to happen, he didn't think anything interesting would happen, so he just sat there and waited

Everytime Chase had finished a butter beer, he got up and ordered a new one, by the time he had finished three he couldn't have any more so he got up and walked outside, he headed in no real direction and he ended up bumping into some girl, "Sorry 'bout that." Chase said, in a daze.

Leah suddenly stumbled, feeling a body against her. She held out her arm and steadied herself, then turned to see who had bumped into her. It was a guy, Leah had seen him in the Great Hall a few times, but had never spoken to him. She could not place which house he was in, but right now it did not matter. His lack of concentration annoyed her, so she frowned and said, "Are you drunk?"

Chase looked at her, struggling to keep his balance, he steadied himself, inhaled, and told her, "Not completely, but enough." Chase said and laughed, "I'll be in control of my self in a minute or so." Chase said, he walked away a little bit and tried to regain control of himself, "The alcohol runs through me a lot quicker then normal people, I'm used to the flow of it." Chase said.

Leah stared at the man with widened eyes. She could honestly say she had never seen anything like it. He must have either drank alot, or have absolutely no tolerance for liquor. "Well, perhaps you've learned your lesson." She murmured, highly doubting it. She knew getting drunk definitely made you more likely to get drunk again. She watched him carefully, hoping he wouldn't fall down in the mud or anything.

Chase looked at her and laughed, "'Course I haven't, I'll still come back and do it again another time, I know I can get away with it without any major consequences, so I don't worry about it to much, but don't worry, it wont happen today." Chase said, laughing. "That much I can assure you, I don't tend to get drunk more then once in a day." Chase told her, pacing around her in circles, "What brings you here today? As a matter of fact, who are you?" Chase asked.

Leah rolled her eyes as he told her he would be coming back to get drunk again. "All right, then." Getting drunk wasn't her cup of tea, but everyone had their preferences and she wasn't one to criticise them openly. She smirked suddenly. What was she talking about, of course she critisized them openly.
"I decided to get in the sun for a day." She paused before continuing. "I am Leah Winters. And you are?"

Chase laughed at this, "I am Chase Blade, I came out of here today to explore, I've never actually been here before, as strange as it is." Chase said, still pacing around, "But, I have low tolerance for alcohol, I believe, it's the only reason that fits for the way it just runs through me so quickly." Chase said. He didn't understand it himself, but it was cool, it meant he was able to regain control of himself after he got drunk so much quicker then normal people.

"Well, Chase Blade, I must say I am very shocked at how fast you can regain yourself after several drinks." She said this in good humor, and had a smile playing around her lips. "Brightstone is not what people say. Many love it, but it is simply...okay." Leah told him truthfully. "Of course, first years get excited about it." She shrugged. "It's a place to waste time."

Chase laughed, she was interesting, "Surprising, isn't it. I don't even get hangovers." Chase told her, he continued pacing around her, it was more of a confirmation for him, he needed to know how long it would take him to get dizzy, he usually didn't get dizzy spills, so he knew he would eventually if he was still drunk, he shouldn't be though. Chase realised he wasn't going to get dizzy so he stopped, "Anyway, would you like to go anywhere?" Chase asked, "I have no plans for today." He said.

It was certainly surprising. Leah could hold her liquor, but she was not immune to hangovers. Perhaps it was because Chase was young, and he had a tolerance for alcoholic hangovers, but she was not certain. She inspected him with interest. "I had no plans either." She smiled at him, and flicked her hair out of her face. "Perhaps we can just hang out here."

Chase laughed, "Would you like to go to the Three Broomsticks?" Chase asked, he wouldn't get drunk again, he probably wouldn't be able to recover so quickly this time, he didn't know how long it would take him to recover a second time, "Anyway, I'm a Seventh Year, Ravenclaw, how about you?" Chase asked. He began walking towards the Three Broomsticks, hoping she would follow.

Leah stood there for a few seconds before following Chase. She hated being a follower, and would rather be leader. So she walked a few steps ahead of Chase and said, "Nice to meet you, Blade." She flashed a smile. "I am a sixth year Slytherin." She saw that they were headed towards The Three Broomsticks, and opened the door before stepping in. It was dreadfully crowded, and she took a step back.

Chase watched her stop in the doorway, "Go in, it's not that bad, I can clear a room one way or the way." Chase said and laughed, "I have a bad reputation here, I tend to start a lot of fights, I always tend to win, well except this one time, but that was only because it was eight on one." Chase said, laughing. He walked up to the bar, bought a couple of drinks, and sat down at a newly vacant table, "Come on, Leah." Chase said.

Leah went over to him and grabbed a drink from his hand before sitting down at the empty table. "Thank you very much." She said, smiling. It wasn't as crowded before, Leah noted with satisfaction. She could not bear to be in a super crowded place. It made her nervous. "Hopefully you won't get into any fights here."

Chase laughed. He didn't think it would be that easy to clear the room, much easier then he had thought it would be. Chase chucked and had a sip of his drink, "Lets see how long it takes for you to get drunk." Chase said and laughed. "I don't plan to get drunk again today, considering how sloppy I was earlier." Chase said and laughed.

"No thank you." Leah declined with a smile. She did not feel like getting drunk at midday, or in The Three Broomsticks. When she drank she would go to The Hogs Head. She took another sip, and set it down on the table. "So, how come it took you so long to come down here?" She finally asked, changing the subject about alocohol.

Chase chucked, "Sure, you say that now. But time will tell, wont it?" Chase said and laughed, he downed his drink, "I needta give it time to run through, 'bout five minutes or so." Chase said and laughed. He waited the time, watching her, "I have just never had a specific reason to come down, I was bored today so I came." Chase told her.

"I guess so." Leah replied. She listened him and put her elbow on the table, with her chin in the palm of her hand. "I guess that was the same reason I cam down here today." It seemed as if she met new people every time she did come down. She thought back to the last time she had visited Brightstone, and a secret smile came to her face. It had ended with a kiss and plans to see each other again. She wondered why he had not contacted her, but she wasn't upset, she hadn't had time to really grow any feelings or attachments for him.

Chase chuckled, he had given the alcohol enough time to run through so he headed over to the bar and ordered two more, he went and sat back down, he slid one over towards Leah, "There you go." Chase said. He took a sip of his and chuckled, "What are your favorite subjects?" Chase asked. He looked at her, he wanted to know more about her because she interested him, as to why, Chase wasn't sure, but she certainly did.

"Thanks." Leah said shortly as he sat closely beside her. She was about to scoot over to put a more respectful distance between them, but she wasn't sure if he was thinking about that. She gave him a closed mouth smile, and sat the drink on the table. "I suppose, History of Magic is my favorite." She informed him. "What are yours?"

Chase chuckled, and moved his chair around to the other side of the table, "Better?" Chase said, "I saw the look on your face." Chase said and laughed. He sipped his drink once again, he would need to make sure he didn't have too much, that would be a great way to get himself drunk again, "I enjoy practical subjects, like Transfiguration and Charms." Chase told her, "What about your least favorite subject?" Chase asked.

A little bit of embarrassment flooded through Leah's face. She didn't mean she wanted him to scoot over. She looked away for a moment and said, "I didn't mean anything by it." Feeling the embarrassment subside, she looked at him and listened to his reply. "Charms is simple. A nine year old could complete a seventh year course." Her biting remarks could not be stopped. When she got embarrassed they came out ten fold. "My least favorite subject is Care of Magical Creatures."

Chase chuckled, "I never actually attend that class. It's so boring." Chase told her, he liked to get to know people, it was fun making new friends for Chase, he quite enjoyed it. Chase chuckled, "Don't be telling anybody that of course, it would not be good for my reputation with the teachers." Chase said to her, he sipped his drink, finishing the rest of it, and moved the glass into the middle of the table, with the others, "My least favourite is Divination, I fell asleep once." Chase said, chuckling.

"It's not boring." Leah argued. "Unless you enjoy breezing along and making only Acceptable grades." She felt a little insulted, that being her favorite class. It was so difficult and challenging, how could you not like it? "Divination is a little boring, although knowing what lies in your future is helpful."
