Clara had made the decision to write to her Daddy the moment she'd gotten on the train in the morning. She remembered that none of her siblings ever wrote to him with any sort of consistency and she was determined to make it her first Hogwarts Mission. Of course, she'd had no time to do that until she actually got sorted and headed up to her dorm, but now, as she was sitting on her bed, she had the opportunity and the ability to put aside a few moments and to write to her favourite parent.

Dearest Daddy,

I left you on the platform at eight minutes past ten in the morning. Ellington, Svetlana, Nikolai and little Adelaide were with you. Please remind Mummy that Adelaide has commandeered my hair band and that I would like to reacquire it. I sat in the carriage with Oliver and Wynter. Wynter was very loud and I had to block my ears. I sympathise with Oliver, it must be hard. I think it would be beneficial for me to teach Wynter how to quiet her voice when she is in an enclosed space. I do not think it necessary to know how many octaves her voice can reach. I do believe that she finds you intimidating. Though I can not think as to why. She certainly could not be more wrong. You are very cuddly. It is hard to believe that Wynter and I share DNA let alone a parent. I will not complain, however, Oliver is clearly our link.

Daddy, please tell Mummy that she needs to rethink her muffin recipe. These muffins are not as good as yesterday's muffins and I am very upset. My stuffed animals also have not yet arrived and I am upset about this too. I think I need to recover them very soon or I might be very sad. Still, I know you will do your utmost to relieve my anxiety. Please be expeditious in your ventures!

The train ride, other than being noisy, wasn't as bad as I was thinking it would be. I didn't mind it too much if I am totally honest. And I always am totally honest. I think it would have been nicer without Wynter, but Oliver seemed content enough to keep her occupied. It was nice to wear my robes. They are still a perfect fit, though I am concerned I may gain some weight if I continue receiving muffins. This may be an issue we have to fix. Still, you know how to alter clothing, right? If so, this will not be too much of an issue.

I lost sight of Oliver and Wynter when we got to the boat crossing. I had hoped to join their boat, but instead, I was stuck with some weird girl and a boy. He was very chatty and spoke too much. The weird girl looked for a moment as if she would push him out of the boat, I would not have blamed her. He was very chatty. The boat ride was a little wobbly and I thought I would fall out, but I didn't, so you can rest assured that I did not damage my hair. It is still very pretty and the flowers smell lovely! Thanks for doing my hair!

Daddy, I must say that Ellie and the others did not do the sorting ceremony enough justice. The hall was huge, more than three of our house put together. I didn't think that you could have a hall so big, just one room. It was very pretty. Though not as pretty as my hair. I had to wait a bit to get sorted, but I am happy to announce that I am a proud Hufflepuff! Like Keye! It will be fun when Benjamin finally comes. I hope he is together with me in my house. I was sad that he wouldn't get sorted here too until next year. I will miss him. Do you think he would like me to write a letter?

I love you Daddy, please write as soon as you can!

P.S: Wynter was sorted into Slytherin. I was a bit surprised, but I guess it makes sense. I will update you with Oliver the moment I know. I didn't see him get sorted, I got distracted, sorry.

Love Your Little General,
Clara <3
