Ondine's curiosity and ambition are her greatest strengths; she'll rarely back down from a mental challenge, especially one self-set, and she enjoys learning for learning's sake. You'll often find her in the library, digesting books she doesn't fully understand, an open thesaurus to one side.	Ondine often comes across as shy and timid. This isn't an entirely accurate reflection of her inner feelings - she simply tends to think long and hard about what she's going to say, how she's going to say it, and the impact it might have on those around her.
AMBITIOUS	INDEPENDENT
Big, small, short-term or long-term, Ondine takes all of her goals very seriously. She loves to test the limits of her mental capabilities, pushing herself to grow and surpass old achievements. When she grows up, she intends to pursue academics and travel the world like her uncle, and she works towards this even now.	Ondine prefers to make decisions by herself rather than consulting others. She'll take initiative unprompted, and tends to be most comfortable and confident when she's alone. Her independence can be a strength, but it is sometimes admittedly fuelled by a fear of judgement.

FOCUSED

When Ondine finds something she's interested in, she can get engrossed in it for hours, days, and weeks at a time, even to the point of neglecting her basic needs. She won't put anything down, until she's completely satisfied; if she tried to stop any sooner, it would weigh on her mind until she resolved it.

Ondine is an optimist through and through. She can always find the good in a person or situation, and when it does not come naturally, she makes an effort to look for it. Her positive, hopeful outlook is what makes her resilient; she's the type of person to believe that you haven't failed until you stop trying.

Absolutely an introvert. If everybody in the world disappeared tomorrow, Ondine would only miss a couple of people. She thrives when she's by herself, engaged in something she loves, and often forgets that she ought to socialise. Large groups of people overwhelm her, especially where there's a lot of noise, tension, or differing opinions.

Ondine thinks things through very carefully before acting. Sometimes a bit too carefully - she's often known to take so long to think about a thing that by the time she's come to a conclusion, it's too late to act at all. Her indecision frustrates both herself and her loved ones, but it can occasionally be a strength; she's highly unlikely to submit to peer pressure, and makes very few mistakes in her schoolwork.

On the whole, Ondine tends toward logical thinking. In a battle between her head and heart, her head will usually prevail. Emotions feature fairly low on her list of priorities when it comes to making decisions, although she does have a sentimental streak. Her logical thinking may be overridden by her enthusiasm for a particular topic or activity, or her deep compassion.

A certain amount of disorder makes Ondine happy. She was raised in a cluttered house that was full of charm and character. Places that are too neat or clean seem to lack history, and it's history that captures her attention. When she's studying, however, she prefers a tidy environment; too much clutter will distract her, and she'll end up daydreaming for an hour without realising it.

While Ondine enjoys studying, and has aspirations to get into academics, she's playful and curious at heart. She certainly needs plenty of down-time to balance out periods of focus.

ANIMAL LOVER?
Absolutely - Ondine is particularly fond of insects, birds, and reptiles. Her mother keeps several birds and reptiles of her own, and her uncle Bertie brings others around regularly for Ondine to meet. Animals don't judge her, or get offended when she doesn't have anything to say to them - although she often has plenty to say, because they also don't mind when she goes on a tangent about something she read in the library that day.
