Lola tightly fisted the two letters in her hand that she had written. One to her parents and one to her cousin. It was strange that for so long she and Kat had never really had much in common at all (and technically still didn't), but still they wrote to each other weekly just to catch up. The fifth year had even taken to meeting up with her other cousin, Serena, every now and again and for her that was just about as social as she got. It was sad really...at almost sixteen years old the Raveclaw didn't have any real friends to speak of. One would think that after five years of schooling she'd at least have one, but alas it seemed she was doomed to be a hermit for the rest of her life.

Once the letters had been sent off with one of the school owls, Lola turned and headed down the stairs, watching her feet as she walked. Unfortunately for her watching her feet meant she wasn't paying too much attention to where she was going and to whom was around her which caused her to slam into some poor unsuspecting passerby. "Barnacles and jellyfish," she murmured under her breath as she beant down to pick up her glasses which had been dislodged from her face. Finding them she placed them back in their proper spot as she quickly scrambled to help the poor girl she'd run into pick up her things. "I really am very sorry about this. If anything's broken then I'll pay for it," she said flustered to no living end.

Dannii was headed to the owlery to send her aunt some pictures and a letter. It wasn't like her aunt remembered her, but it felt nice to call someone family. Dannii sighed at the thought. Sure she had her sister, but after eleven years of not knowing each other they had never gotten around to forming a sisterly bond. Dannii was begining to feel extremely lonely, sure she had talked to a few people a couple of times this year and they were awesome she just wanted someone who could actually be a friend. I wish Azerail didn't spend so much time studying... Then I could atleast pretend I actually know people she thought. Dannii knew he had OWLs that year and those were important but he didn't need to spend every moment studying for them, and now they weren't even going to Yule Ball together.

Dannii was digging through her bag trying to distract herslef when BAM someone slammed right into her, "What where your going. Merlin!" Dannii said stuffing her sketch book and pencils back into her bag and standing up. Dannii looked away from the girl as she apologized. Her apology made Dannii feel a little bad for yelling at her seconds before. Its not like she had done it on purpose, and she really did seem sorry. "I-Its okay nothings broken. Sorry for yelling at you" Dannii said a hint of shame hidden deep in her apology. This is why I don't have any friends, I'm such a ***** Dannii told herself. She remembered how lonely she had felt before and the thought of returning to her dorm really didn't apeal to her. "I'm Dannii, Dannii Merrythought." Dannii introduced herself and stuck out her hand for the girl to shake. She figured she might as well try.

Lola visibly winced as the girl yelled at her, but what was she to expect...she'd run the girl over and probably hurt her in some way. When the brunette heard the girls apology she seemed to relax just slightly. "S'okay...I really should have been watching where I was going. Bad habit I guess. Watching your feet that is...you know...whilst walking," she mumbled on as she picked up a few stray pencils that the girl had lost and handed them to her, though not meeting her gaze. Just as Lola was about to turn and head the rest of the way down the girl stuck her hand out causing her to flinch slightly, but once she realized that she wasn't going to be slapped she offered her hand in return, shaking the girl called Dannii's hand. "Lola Mason. Are you sure you're alright? Really...if anything's broken then I have a few galleons saved up...I can pay for it," she said, feeling absolutely horrible.

Dannii smiled when the girl accepted her apology and handed her a few stray pencils that she had missed. Dannii couldn't help but notice tha girl flinch when Dannii stuck out her hand. Did she raelly think Dannii would hurt her? Dannii was allot of things but violent wasn't one of them, and Lola was way taller then her anywas. "Nice to meer you Lola, and yeah I'm sure nothings broken. I pick my things to last 'cause I know if I didn't I would probably break them anyways" Dannii said rolling her eyes playfully. The only time Dannii wasn't a majoy klutz was when she was playing some sort of sport, magical or otherwise. "So what brings you to the owlery? Wow that sounds stupid sending a letter obviously" Dannii said feeling stupid. Obviously her people skills needed work. Well the only way to get practise is to get out there and talk to people... People that aren't in the perminte ward at St. Mungos anyways.

At the best of times Lola was a klutz, but it was usually due to the fact that she severely lacked attention to her surroundings. This encounter proved no different. In fact the last time she'd run smack into someone was the day she met Ruki at the library for the first time, but she didn't think about that very often because sometimes it made her sad to remember him. The Ravenclaw smiled at the girls attempt at a conversation knowing that it was usually her asking odd questions. Seemed that Lola had actually met someone as shy as she was. "Indeed I was. Had a letter to send out to my cousin and my parents. I'm assuming you're up here for the same reason," she inquired politely.
