Dressed in her pajamas with a book, notebook and pencil tucked under her arm, Levy Cheney sneaked through the common room and out to the hallways. This was not a new thing for the Ravenclaw. In fact, she had done this loads of times, particularly when she had homework that she had not finished whenever Zach would distract her. He could be pretty distracting when he wanted to be. And so, tonight was one of those nights that she was watching the hallways carefully, making sure that her slippers would not make noise as she ran through the hallways quietly towards the library. Her eyes were slightly trained in the dark and her steps were measured, her ears alert as she had done this a lot of times before. Now what's left is to just reach the library, have a look at the book she needed, scribble the last of her homework and get back to her dorm without getting caught.
Unluckily for Levy, it wasn't quite so easy tonight. Prefects loitered the staircases frequently and the way from the Ravenclaw Common Room to the Library involved a lot of stairs. It was a good thing that they didn't linger much which enabled her to get away but she was running behind on schedule already. She was in the fourth floor now, watching out for a prefect that would be passing by anytime soon. But quite some time had already passed and no presence had made itself known. Perhaps the prefect had passed by already? It was likely. It was now or never. Levy ran through the hallway towards the library, her steps light and quiet. She just needed to ten minutes in the library and then she could go back to her dorm with her homework over and done with.
