Paige was feeling sad since she had read the Rumour has it magazine, they portrayed her so bad and Paige could not help but feel extremely sad about it. Her eyes were swollen and red from all the crying she had done, she was walking endlessly into the castle and stopped into a deserted corridor on the first floor, she looked around and saw that nobody was entering soon. She sat herself down on a deserted and empty chair and was thinking again about that stupid magazine that called itself Rumour has it, there was nothing but horrible gossip in that magazine. She was thinking about the magazine since it was first released, why would the school accept such horror to be printed. A large painting behind her was also crying, but Paige could not care about some painting she wanted that horror of a magazine to disintegrate into nothing.

After ten minutes of more crying and wet robes, she found herself unable to cry any more, Paige did not even know that was possible. Now she found herself sobbing uncontrollably without tears, she did not want to cry, crying was weak her parents had told her this numerous times. What was she going to do, the magazine called her evil people would stare at her like she was some kind of the newest freak. Paige was smart and she knew that, she was not that mean, maybe some mean she would flap out, but she was definitely not evil. None of her friends knew that Paige cried, they thought she could barely show emotions. Paige was somewhat of a loner, she did not have many friends and the friends she had were not the ones you could consider as best friends. Paige did not even tell them her secrets, hell she told them almost nothing. Paige was shot back to reality when she heard a noise coming from the corridor, in an attempt to brush all of her tears on her precious Slytherin robes. Her robes were getting wet and they looked awful now, Paige did not even know people could see she was from Slytherin, maybe they thought she was a Hufflepuf or something. Paige missed her cat, but if her cat saw her cry he would whine too and that made an awful sound.

Hanna Mitchelle was certainly in a good mood today. She had spent the morning with her older brother whom she admired greatly. It had been a long time since they actually spent time together and she was most grateful for the time her brother was giving her today. She was sure that Killua hadn't been spending much time with anyone at all, especially since many were still terrified of his cold demeanor. But, Mitch knew better. She knew that Kil had been lonely as he couldn't find the friends he needed and wanted so bad since childhood.

"Hey Kil! Do they have to really release those dreaded magazines?" Mitch's curious self had shown as soon as they left the Great Hall and began to walk on random corridors. The Hufflepuff hadn't been very social in her first year and thus, here she was, entirely curious about Rumor Has It, the magazine who seemed to make fun, insult and many more horrible things written on it, most seemed to be an exaggeration as Mitch had assumed. But the younger wasn't a fan of that, she knew that people couldn't be judged by people such as the authors of the magazines. It was just so horrible in her own opinion.

Walking around the corridors on the first floor, Mitch heard the faintest of sounds. Her senses hadn't been trained so well, but she was sure her brother heard it too. The sound came from a distance, but surely it was still part of the corridors they were currently in. And it was someone crying! Hanna took a quick glance at her brother before running off to find the source of the cry. The Hufflepuff may be spoiled and arrogant at times, but when she had one of those good days, she was as caring and kind-hearted as a young child can be. She continued to search the corridors until she had seen the crying girl, and at that moment, Mitch didn't care about anything as she approached the girl and gave her a light pat on the head. It always helped her when she was crying. She hoped it would help the girl too.

Killua wasn't really particular with the emotions he felt at certain days, but of the time he spent in Hogwarts, this time seemed to be much better than sitting in class for hours and minutes and hours and minutes on. Today, he had managed to keep his promise to his little sister to actually spend time with him. Normally, he would forget, but hey, he's got some memory left in him too to remember a few things once in a while. Although, Kil was a bit irritated at the stares they were getting but only for a short period of time. Well, he couldn't blame him. A cold boy with eyes like his ready to kill you is with a happy-go-lucky girl nearly skipping her way through the corridors. It was quite a sight.

"Who cares?" Killua shrugged at the younger's question. Kil never really did pay attention to that magazine, even when he first entered Hogwarts up to now. He wasn't really one to care, but he does read it. And he would see some familiar names too, especially those in his house. Killua may not have friends but he does make the effort of trying to remember people, especially those in Slytherin whom he spends the most time with in the castle. "Just let them be. They're getting the attention they want, so they won't be stopping anytime soon," the boy said bluntly as they continued to walk through the corridors. "As long as there are readers, there is Rumor Has It."

The older hadn't missed the sound his sister had heard. In fact, he heard it more clearly. The echoes of a sob and cry. He was trained on his senses being the assassin he once was, and thus, here he was, able to detect the faintest of sounds. He nodded at his sister lightly when she glanced, after all, even if he did decline, Mitch was too hardheaded to listen to reason. So, he could only follow behind at his own pace. He lost sight of her at first, but now for very long, and when she did find his sister, she was already patting a girl's back. Killua didn't recognize her at first as he leaned on the wall, looking at his sister comforting someone they barely knew.

Paige knew that the noise was quickly approaching her, she knew that the noise was coming from two pairs of footsteps and could make out from the voices that it would be a boy and a girl. Paige could see that a boy and a girl were walking towards her, they were the reason that Paige had heard some noise in this corridor just seconds ago. The girl was obviously from Hufflepuf, she could see the yellow badger from miles away now, the boy on the other hand was a Slytherin she had seen him before when she sat in the Common Room all by herself. The boy stopped and leaned on the wall and the girl approached her and gave Paige a pat on the head. Paige felt a bit comforted by that gesture and decided to stand up, since she was still sitting and wanted to stand rather then sitting down on the dirty floor.

Paige wanted to say something, but there was giant lump in her throat making her unable to speak. So she nodded to both the girl and the boy standing in front of her. Paige was comforted by the gesture from the girl and gave the girl her 'thank you' look, she tried to speak again and knew that she was able to speak again. ''Thank you'' Paige to the girl, her eyes still red and swollen, but she was not sobbing any more. Paige looked at the boy and now she could see he was definitely a Slytherin, ''I am so sorry that you two have to see me like this'' Paige muttered from under her breath. Paige did not want to look like she was such a weak person, she hated crying and could normally hide behind her mask. The Rumour Has it Magazine was carefully folded and placed into her bag, her bag felt like a ton of bricks now, she hated the magazine and every letter that was printed in the dam thing.

Mitch could only shake her head lightly at her brother's response. She knew it was true. As long as there would be students patronizing the said magazine and not even making an effort to reveal who the writer is, a lot could happen. Rumor Has It would continue to live as the students continue to read and the professors can't find the culprits. It was a hard enough year for academics, and now social problems were issuing after the said magazine came out as others were bullied. Mitch hated it. She wasn't one for those kinds of treatments. She may have wished to become an assassin to at one point, but she has a gentle heart.

And right now, it was a bit hard to see a girl crying. Hanna didn't really see much girls cry, mostly only herself. But she knew, that this girl in front of her was having troubles. The Hufflepuff only smiled a gentle smile as the other girl spoke. They were nearly the same age that was for sure and the older shook her head as the younger apologized. "It's not a sin to cry. It's alright," Mitch spoke in a gentle voice. She actually didn't care whether someone was messy looking or even dirty or whatever, as long as she knew that the other was alright. Mitch smiled a genuine smile of concern as she looked at the girl in the eyes.

Killua continued to watch over the two girls. He looked like he had no care in the world at all, but in totality, he was a bit worried. He was keeping his senses up, just so he could easily notice if there was someone coming. At the moment, the last thing they needed was someone to see the crying girl. And so he was just there, standing and observing the girls' exchange during their conversation. He didn't really need to butt in anyway, lest he had to or wanted to he would, but for now, he was unsure of the other girl's identity. He would know it soon anyway.

When Kil really did pay attention, it was then he realized that it was a housemate of his, one of the freshmen. He took a closer look at the younger girl, trying to remember the name she possessed. It took him quite a few moments before he remembered it. Paige Rivers as he recalled. For all he knew, she was the one who had been very active and a complete opposite of him when it came to laziness and keeping quite a low profile. Well, as far as he knew, it was the reason the Slytherin girl was written in Rumor Has It. But for all he knew, no one should really be written there, and no one should be reading it either, although he does read it, but he doesn't really believe it. The young boy then continued to let his eyes wander to the corridors, wondering if there would be anyone approaching them anytime soon. "You don't have to believe the b*llsh*t on that stupid piece of paper," he mumbled, just enough for the other Slytherin to hear.

Paige knew that the boy and girl meant no harm to Paige and Paige felt comfortable standing with the two of them. She had seen the boy in the common room, but she did not know his name or in what year he was. Paige her blue eyes were focussing in on both the boy and the girl, the boy looked in the corridor wondering if someone would come and see them. Paige was almost thinking that he was ashamed of Paige or his sister ''I don't believe it, but other people do.'' Paige muttered in a slow whisper, her English accent shining trough her voice. ''They give me all these weird looks and some people ignore me now'' Paige whimpered, the magazine said all these weird stuff about her and some people believed the magazine and that made Paige even more sad.

The magazines had to stop and the culprits needed to be expelled from Hogwarts, it was rude to write mean stuff about people. Paige was not as evil as the magazine had said about her, she was not the nicest or the sweetest person, hell she was and still be a Slytherin in heart. Paige was a bit sneaky and she lied when she would be better with doing it. Paige decided to not respond to the girl, Paige did not like crying and she found herself being weak when she cried. ''The magazine is really mean, you know.'' Paige whispered her blue eyes went dull when she spoke about the magazine. ''How did you two cope up with the magazine?'' Paige asked, she knew the magazine arrived every year and every year it was even meaner.

"We don't believe it," Hanna smiled at the girl before her. She was as sure as hell that she didn't believe the magazine in any way and she was sure that Killua would either not believe in the dreaded magazine or be completely uninterested in what the magazine had to say. Well, he though that it was a good point about Kil though, because he doesn't judge those he doesn't know. "He may look tough but he's a real softie do don't worry about him treating you badly," she whispered at the once crying girl. She hoped that she wouldn't make her anymore sad. "I'm Hanna Mitchelle by the way. Most people call me Mitch."

"Yes, I know.. A couple of my housemates were featured too," Mitch nodded to show her understanding towards the girl's situation. While she may not know the full extent of the younger's feelings about being written, the Hufflepuff knew that it had to hurt for someone to cry like that. And she was not liking how that magazine affected others. Those who wrote that magazine should be expelled and be sent to Azkaban! Okay, she was exaggerating, but that was how she felt when she's angry. "Well, I wasn't much for reading and socializing so, I only knew about the magazine today," the girl muttered honestly. "I don't know about Kil though," she said as she turned to look at her brother, hoping to at least have some answers.

Killua could only watch as the two exchanged words. He wasn't much for talking but he really wasn't appreciating what Mitch was telling Paige about him. Sure, he is a softie in certain situations, but hey, he was quite known for being a mean guy around the school grounds. Not that he was intending to keep the title, but a little more less embarrassing way to express his softness would be very much appreciated. But unfortunately embarrassing was not in his sister's vocabulary right now. "Mitch, I do hope that you're not telling her silly things about me," he said in his usual voice which was pretty much laced in coldness. For those who do not know him well would have thought of it as a dangerous threat, but in reality it was nothing more than a plead to not say anymore embarrassing things.

The Slytherin boy continued to watch the corridors, thankfully no one was coming. He had been listening to the girls' conversation once in a while and at least he was able to understand them. Kil knew that the magazine was hurtful, rude and dreadful. And while he didn't know how painful it could be to be written there, he knew it must be a hard experience. "I haven't been written," he said nonchalantly, "But, the head girl before had been written there over and over again, and she chose not to mind it, because the more you pay attention to it, the more those writers would go after you," he told them both as his cold eyes met the younger Slytherin's gaze. He wondered what she would think with those cold eyes of his that he just couldn't change.

Paige was listening to the advise that the twins gave her, she hoped that the two would still stay in touch with her although the girl and she were in a different House. The girl just did not believe the Magazine and Paige could not see how you could not believe it, they made it look real and people believed the piece of horror. The girl her name was Mitch and Paige liked her, the boy was much more quieter and tried to be silently there. ''My name is Paige Rose, but most people call me just Paige really.'' Paige spoke in her clear and English accented voice. Paige knew that the magazine was not tolerated at the school, but the Professors could not find the culprit behind the magazine. Paige would have liked that her Head of House cared more and would know when it went bad with one of his students, she was lucky that it was almost Holiday break otherwise she would most likely screw up her class work.

''Yes, your are right, but the magazine is just horrid if you are not prepared for it...Next year I will be prepared and I will not give a flying salamander about what is written about me.'' Paige spoke to the boy, she knew what the magazine was and she would avoid it like the plague. Paige her hair was wild and uncombed, her hand was currently going trough it trying to make it look more normal. Paige knew that the bags under her eyes could only be cured by a good night of sleep which she desired on the particular moment, Paige thought about the last time she had slept without having to wake up in the middle of the night thinking about the magazine. Paige knew she cared too much and her parents just said to ignore it, but the Magazine was personal and Paige hoped that the people behind it would suffer badly. Paige was a bit afraid of the cold eyes that the boy had, they looked similar Professor Styx had them too, but at this particular moment Paige could not care. If Paige wanted to become something in Hogwarts she had to act like it and this was not how a Prefect, Head girl or Quidditch player should react to a piece of paper. Paige straightened her shoulders and a slight smirk appeared on her face, she knew how to act now, she would not be afraid of the dirty looks and snapping comments some students had towards her.
