Personality:
Niamh may come off as rather loud and annoying, but once you get to know her she is very kind and very funny. After becoming her close friend, she will open up so much more and will let you see her true self. A childish, fun-loving, affectionate Hufflepuff who just wants another friend to share experiences with.

History: Niamh was born was born May 11, 2027 in Kilkenny, Ireland. She was very fussy as a baby, she wouldn't cry, but she would just pout and say no. Even to her sister, who were closer than any two sisters could ever be. They would fight, occasionally, when they both couldn't have their way. Niamh was a bit more violent about it though. For years they had no idea that they came from a magical mother, but after their parents' divorce, their mother started using magic a lot more frequently. Using it for cleaning, cooking, and other chores. The two sisters would always catch her and thought their mother was a fairy of some sort, not really a witch. According to muggle kids, witches were evil and mean. The two girls could not possibly call their mother at all evil. When, Niamh turned 8, her sister's magical potential started to show. Soon enough, Marietta got her letter from Hogwarts. That year was especially lonely for little Niamh. Her mother was out most of the time with her boyfriend, Marietta was at Hogwarts, and her dad was miles away from her. To pass the time she took up gardening, and tried as best she could to study a few things about the wizarding world she never knew. Finally when she turned 10 she had received her letter....

Niamh's mother, Jolana, was born in Scotland before she moved to Ireland. She attended the Hogwarts there, not in New Zealand. She was sorted into the Hufflepuff House and graduated with above average grades. It wasn't long after graduating, she met Seamus McCormick. His attitude toward magic wasn't exactly positive, so she restrained her magical abilities whenever he was around. A few months after both of them moved to Ireland, Jolana realized she was pregnant. After the birth of their daughter Marietta, Seamus and Jolana got married. Then Jolana had a second child, Niamh. When Niamh was about 4 years old, Seamus confessed to cheating on Jolana. After their divorce, Jolana and her daughters moved to New Zealand for Marietta to attend Hogwarts there. Currently, she is seeing another guy. A buddy she had when she was still attending Hogwarts in Scotland. They met just after moving to the country, when Marietta was 8 and Niamh 6. It was nothing serious, only dating for a while.

Seamus, like Jolana, was born in Scotland. He grew up in a family with a secret. His sister was a witch. It was because of her magical talents, that he grew jealous of those with magical ability. Even with his jealousy, he still grew up to become an expert in cooking and the culinary arts. Then he met Jolana. He didn't really mind it when she told him she was a witch. He just asked her to keep the magic at a low. After moving to Ireland, Jolana told him she was pregnant and he had already made plans to propose after the baby's arrival. Two years after the marriage Jolana had a second baby girl, He named her Niamh since Jolana named their first daughter Marietta. A few years into their marriage and they had already fought more times than he could count. One night at a pub he cheated on Jolana with another girl at the bar. He had to confess it to her. He hated the fighting and arguing, so they got divorced. Jolana got custody of the girls and left Ireland for New Zealand. Leaving Seamus in Ireland. He still kept in contact with the girls, though.

Marietta went through two years without Niamh, but after she was born, they became the best of sisters. Absolutely inseparable, even after the divorce. When they were little, they played whatever they could, but it wasn't soon after Marietta's 10th birthday that she was sent off to Hogwarts. Those years without her big sister were lonely, but now she can rejoin her at her new school.
