Hair: Long and wavy, a kind of brown but more black when wet.
Eyes: Abnormally large and brown. Besides from this Nerissa has very delicate and human like features, a large contrast to most of the other merfolk.
Height: about 7 foot but most of that is tail.
Other Distinguishing Features: Well it's not everyday you meet a girl with a tail is it?
A Little Deeper
Personality: Nerissa is very nice and humane for a mermaid. It may have something to do with the fact that she looks more human than the other mermaids and has always felt closer to humans than her fellow merfolk.
History: Nerissa had an average childhood learning as she went, making mistakes and learning from them. Nothing interesting really happened until she surfaced and starting talking to humans. Most of the merpeople advised against this, but she found company in the students at the school. She had always been a bit lonley and she related to the heartbroken human girls, and found joy in advising the lovesick boys.

Relationship: Nerissa was always closer to her father but, her mother had not been a bad one. Her mother and Nerissa just tend to see differently on most things and have problems working things out in a positive way.
Father: Nen
Relationship: Nerissa was very close to her father as a child, they did a lot of things together and grew very close, but he left shortly into her 'teen' years and only visits occasionally. She learned most of her morals from her father which is why she tends to like and become close to humans.
Brother: Calder
Relationship: They love each other but they did have the normal brother sister fights. But they protect each other and take care of each other, they are family after all. Calder lives with her father, he never was quite happy in the lake and has since moved on to start his own family in bluer waters.
