She grew up on a strict training regiment, with her life controlled very harshly by her father. Her mother was a very religious, submissive woman, and did nothing to step in.
Mystic grew tired of this life, and ran away from home two weeks before her father meant to force her into the military. Free of his influence, she found work as a pastry chef at a small bakery in Colorado and settled into a cheap apartment there. Growing her hair out, Mystic changed her name legally and very quickly turned into a bit of a hippie, living a very colorful, carefree life. Her home is cluttered and full to bursting, but very cosy and open at the same time.
She had a long string of lovers, never settling with anyone, enjoying her freedom. She was startled when one day years later, a nephew she didn't know she'd had reached out to her seeking sanctuary. Thrilled, she took the boy in and gave him the freedom she'd found for herself so long ago.
