Andrea was psyched to be back in Hogwarts again. It was her second day as a second year and things seem totally great. She had consumed enough pumpkin pie for lunch and has consumed the right amount of pumpkin juice as well. She has seen some of her friends the earlier day and had a little conversation with them since there was a lot to do with sorting and the unpacking and stuff like that. Andrea just finished packing her things the night before so she was already settled. The sorting the other day was overwhelming and quite odd since it was really weird for Andrea to be the one sitting on the Gryffindor table while watching the unsorted students walk in the Great Hall and be sorted. It seemed like a day has only passed when the hat put Andrea in Gryffindor. "Oh, how time flies", Andrea told herself when the thought came to her. Andrea was excited to start her second official day in Hogwarts. Being a sophomore sure feels good as Andrea would say it. She just went out the castle for a morning walk in the garden and proceeded to the Lakefront to observe the beautiful lake. Andrea has been in Hogwarts for almost a year now and she hasn't seen a mermaid or any magical sea creature yet.
It was July and the breeze was extremely cold due to the fact that it was Winter or in other words; the season that Andrea strongly disliked. Andrea was wearing a thick sweater over her t-shirt and a bonnet she bought over the vacation. Andrea was really excited to meet the new firsties and the transferees. When Andrea's eyes reached the lake, she winced. She put her palm onto her forehead and winced once more. Even though the snow just stopped, the lake was completely frozen. Andrea let out a swear word and blamed herself for being so stupid for not realizing. She sat on the snowy ground near the lake and stared at the frozen lake. Andrea would not even know how long she stared at the frozen lake if no familiar voice cried out her name and startled her.
