Patricia said goodbye to Elliot as she closed the shop door behind her, finally finishing for the day. It was hard to believe that Patricia had been working in the General Store for six years now, having just started it before she started Hogwarts. Her school career was flying by, quicker than she liked, but she knew it was inevitable so she just shrugged it off and tried to enjoy the rest of her time at Hogwarts as much as she could. As she walked along the cobbled streets she began to play with the pendant that was around her neck. It had almost become a permanent feature now, ever since she received it from Ruki for her 15th birthday, over a year ago now. It, and the ring she wore, were all she had left to remind her of Ruki now but recently she had been trying to think of him less and less. She had cared for him so much but he wasn't coming back and Patricia had to realise this. With that thought in mind she took a seat on one of the nearby benches and reached behind her neck and took her necklace off. Putting it in her hand she looked at it for a few moments before taking the ring off and placing it beside the blue pendant. She took a shaky breath as she felt tears starting to well up, she knew that she had to move on but she also knew that it was going to be hard to do. She slowly put the two pieces of jewelry into the bottom of her bag before wiping away the tears in her eyes, promising herself to never cry over a boy, again.

Yvo held his book to his nose as he let his eyes scan the pages with disinterest. He loved to read more than he enjoyed any other hobby in the world but this book was unable to keep his attention fixed for too long. The book was lowered and Yvo quietly tucked it under his arm, he would end up returning it tomorrow when the shopes we reopened and everyone wasn't returning to home or to school. Yvo had various thoughts going through his mind right now, about his younger sister, his traveling father, and even his own school work that he was sure was probably going to fail him if he didn't keep up with all the classwork. He would just have to focuse more, his father promised that Yvo could travel with him once he graduated and that meant he only had thw year left to worry about and then he would be free to finally aspire after his dreams.

Yvo walked down the cobblestone street and kept his eyes focused on only what was in front of him, he wished he had kept more attention to his surroundings so he could have avoided nearly dropping the old book he had onto a girl who was sitting on a bench as he passed her. "Oh bloody hell! Sorry." The book had fallen right on her feet so Yvo had to bend down to put the book up. Once the book was in hand he silently closed it. His faced turn to look at her and it appeared as if she had been cryng. A brow was raised silently as he looked at her with quiet and silence, was she going to be alright?

Patricia knew it was getting a bit late and she had prefect duties to do tonight, so she had to get up to the school soon but she still had some time to just relax. Patricia closed up her bag and set it behind her, turning her head for a moment so she didn't see the boy approaching her. Turning around again she lowered her head, a small sigh escaping the girls lips. She was happy with her decision to start getting over Ruki, no matter how hard it would be. Ensuring that the last of the tears had left her eyes she began to think in silent contemplation. She knew that she was still young but why was she one of the few girls in her year to never have had a boyfriend? It wasn't that she desperately wanted a boyfriend but she often wondered if there was possibly something wrong with her? Her thoughts came to an abrupt halt when she felt a shape pain shoot through her feet. Looking down she saw a book on her feet as well as a boy picking it up. Patricia looked at the boy who had dropped the book on her feet. "Don't worry about it. Accidents happen." she said with a shrug, a laugh lacing her words because really, worse things have happened.

Yvo could not hold back that he was surprised at this girl being so nice to him after his book invaded her personal area less than a moment back. He would have expected her to get just a little upset at him but she wasn't in the very least and it made him a little curious about her, or annoyed since he wasn't really sure what he thought of her yet. "You are awful friendly for someone who just had a book dropped on them." Yvo's voice was deep but still came out quiet everytime he spoke to someone he did not know well enough to call a friend or family. Little Ariah was about the only one who could easily get him to truly laugh as well, and she did not have to try as hard as most would think either. The book was retucked back under his arms and his eyes focused on anything but the kind person who had yet to yell at him, what was it that made her so forgiving and friendly?

"I am Yvo Rowan, Durmstrang student and not usually this out of it. Nice to meet you." Yvo could become quite the cheerful person when got to know another person but until that he was as shy and polite as he could manage. He was always eager to meet new people too. Even if the majority that he met were not so right in the head he still enjoyed their company all the same.

Patricia stretched her toes inside her shoes a bit and moved her feet around to get rid of the stinging sensation from the book. It wasn’t even a big book so the pain didn’t last all that long, thankfully. If there was one thing Pat hated, it was being in pain or even the thought of being in pain. It wasn’t as bad a phobia or anything, she just didn’t like being in pain, it was rather silly if she was being honest. “I’ll take that as a compliment.” Patricia said with a smile. “Anyway like I said, it was an accident. Unless it was your soul purpose today to come up to a random girl and drop your book on her foot.” she said, looking at him as she tried to keep her face straight but her serious look was flawed with a slight smirk that was playing on the corner of her mouth.

When the boy introduced himself Patricia couldn’t help but laugh just a bit, it was an unique introduction, one she hadn’t heard but before but she thought it was sort of, cute? “I’m Patricia Styx. Hufflepuff Student at Hogwarts New Zealand and I’m usually this friendly.” she said, her smile widening ever so slightly. “Nice to meet you Yvo.” she added. A few questions were running through Patricia’s mind at that moment but the more she looked at the boy the more one question was jumping at her to ask him. She had to be sure though, he did seem a bit familiar, “You aren’t anything to Ariah Rowan by any chance. Slytherin at Hogwarts? Always seems bubbly but a tad clumsy?” she asked, her eyebrows frowned. The name had jumped out at her right away but he seemed to look a bit like Ariah, just a few features that all close family members seemed to share.

Yvo did not miss the small smirk that had shown upon her face, she was lovely enough looking so it was not a bother for him to look at her face for a long period of time. The humor she used made him crack a small grin. Yvo was usually very humorous but when he first met someone knew he was a little shy and soft spoken. "I might have tried it to just get your attention for all you know." He almost mocked her, but he wasn't. Getting a female's attention was something he didn't think was really that hard when he actually tried. After living with his younger sister and mother for some years he sort knew how to interact with them. Then the girl laughed at him after he told her what his name was and everything, she was either an odd one or he had said something she thought was funny.

"Nice to mee you Patricia. Though I am not too sure what a Hufflepuff is I'm sure it doesn't matter quite that much." His voice was laced with a hint of humor in it, he had heard the name of the houses in a letter from his sister but he never bothered to look at it long enough to memorize their names. Since he was in his last year of school he wouldn't bother to try and transfer like she had to find out what house he was suited for either. Yvo's sisters name came up and he blinked a few times to let it sink in, and she had the description right on the cue about her too. "That is my little sister alright. I hope she has not cause you any accidents or anything." His hand went to rub his cheek shyly, Ariah tended to ruin things for him without even realizing it. He hoped this girl would not want to revolt before he even had the chance to know her well enough.

Now that Patricia’s attempt at a serious face had failed she let her features relax once more into a comfortable smile. Patricia saw the boy crack a small grin, something which relieved her a bit. She didn’t know why but she pinned it down to the Hufflepuff in her to why she preferred seeing people that were around her being happy, even if she wasn’t. Normally when people around her were happy the effects would rub off on her and got her out of whatever mood she was in and she had to admit this person had taken her out of her slump almost immediately. “Well then, congratulations! You have my attention.” she said with a smile. “What do you intend to do with it?” she asked, straightening up a bit on the seat as she leaned forward somewhat slightly, her two arms firmly on the bench at her sides.

When Yvo informed Patricia that he wasn’t sure what a Hufflepuff was she mentally slapped herself, “Opps, my bad. I easily forget that pupils from Durmstrang aren’t fully aware of the Hogwarts Houses.” she told him. Patricia found it amazing the number of Durmstrang students, and Beauxbatons students for that matter, came to New Zealand on a regular basis. They normally visited family which leaved nearby or they lived nearby themselves. Patricia often wondered if they lived so close, why not attend Hogwarts New Zealand but she had never really bothered to ask. “But you’re right, that part is irrelevant.” She added, for good measure. She was unsure why she had even bothered to ask that part in but it was becoming a sort of second nature now when around the school she would have to introduce herself as Hufflepuff Prefect to some of the younger students who felt like causing a bit of mayhem around the school. When Yvo confirmed that Ariah was indeed his younger sister she shook her head at his comment, “Oh heavens no! She’s an adorable little girl. I don’t know her all that well to be honest, just from around a few clubs actually.” she told him. “So what brings you to New Zealand?” she asked, not being the best at starting up a conversation but liked to try.

Patricia had asked him what he intended to do with her attention and Yvo felt his mind come to a complete stop in thought. Why was it that girls had a tendancy to ask him question he couldn't possibly answer without putting some thought into it, he didn't want to get laughed at by her. "Well I uh...I don't know Patricia. You shouldn't ask me such hard questions." A small crack of a smile came to his mouth to show he was only kidding around with her about his previous statement. It was hard for him to be playful around another person he did not know well. He would attempt to loosen up though because Patricia so far had been very friendly and welcoming to him even after he dropped his book on her. Her smile was quite enjoyable to look at as well.

"It is alright, Hufflepuff does have a Badger as their symbol though, right?" Yvo once borrowed one of Ariah's books that was based on the History of Hogwarts and the Houses that children that went there get sorted into. Yvo could only be a little curious about which of the Houses he would be sorted into. His sister was a sweet person but she still managed to get in the house that was known for bringing up Dark Wizards and Witches into the world. Since he was a friendly person and liked to stand up for his friends when needed he figured he was very suited for the house of Gryffindor. The mention of his sister made Yvo grin again, his sister was a glutton for making people happier. "Adorable? My sister is a magnet for insanity, she is also probably the worst clutz I have ever had the chance to be around as well. I came to New Zealand to get away from my mom mother, she happens to be in one of those 'moods'." Yvo's lips curled into a frown and his head turned to let his green colored eyes check down the street to make sure his tyrant of a mother did not follow him. Her moods were over the top as of late and it ruined his time at home.

Patricia looked at Yvo with a bemused look on her face when he took his time to reply to what he intended to do with her attention now that he had it. She didn’t think it was an overly hard question but she was surprised to hear that Yvo thought differently. Raising her eyebrows slightly she laughed a bit, telling he wasn’t being serious due to the small on his face. “Alrighty! Easy questions from now on, promise.” she said with a soft smile. “Here’s one for you. Are you going to join me or do I have to get up?” she asked. It was a bit weird for her to talk to someone but have to look up at him all the time and she was wondering if Yvo was feeling a bit weird standing over her to talk to her. Patricia nodded her head when Yvo asked if Badgers were the symbol for Hufflepuff, “Yeah the Badger is our symbol.” she told him. “I take you brushed up on some of the Hogwarts History?” she asked curiously. From her experience of students from Durmstrang they had little or no knowledge of the Hogwarts Houses, let alone what their symbols were.

Then again Patricia had very little to no idea how the Durmstrang schooling system worked. All Patricia had even known was the separation of the four houses of Hogwarts so to think of what it would be like to have no houses. Then again if she were to have attended the muggle school like she thought she would have had to over six years ago she would have had no separate houses but she also wouldn’t have been staying there nearly all year round. Patricia laughed when Yvo talked of his sister, “She can’t be all that bad.” she said shaking her head. From what Patricia could tell Ariah was a bit clutzy but not all that bad and she was a very sweet girl. When Yvo told Patricia he was in New Zealand she frowned a bit. Family problems sucked. “I’m sorry about that. Have you met up with Ariah?” she asked, not meaning to pry but just for sake of the conversation.
