Without the benefit of technology, Stella was starting to go crazy, and she'd only been inside the walls of Hogwarts for a couple of days. She longed to check her emails, to play games, to learn useless and random facts...but unless she went to the library to do battle with incredibly long tomes, there was no chance. And being muggleborn and raised by the web, Stella felt like an absolute outcast. Nobody got her references. People always went on about magic and all that and she really didn't fit in to that world. It was alright back home - at school, she was an outcast but she always had the internet to fall back on. But at Hogwarts, she had nothing. Wiping a tear away from her eye on her oversized sleeve - Stella was a small, boyish looking girl who wore clothes two sizes too big for her in the hope that she'd grow - she sighed as she looked out to the lake from the tower, wondering what was so great about the outside world anyway.

Yorick wandered up into the tower, exploring the school. He had a few days until classes and had hoped to make friends by this point, but except for Imogen and her little friend, he'd met no one who he'd been able to engage. Despite Imogen's friendliness, he felt a little uncomfortable around her, mostly because she made him blush and feel... Well akward.

He sighed. It was a crush, nothing more, he knew nothing would come of it. Damn logic, why not let himself dream? He could always imagine... What was that?

He heard a sniffle, he came into the tower and saw another first year girl wiping a tear away from her face. She was cute, if a bit boyish, and her robes made her look tiny, though she was close to his size anyway. He walked over to her slowly, not sure how to approach this.

"Uh... Excuse me. Um... Is uh... something wrong?"

Stella gulped. Ohnoes, she thought, taking a deep breath. Things were so much easier when she could hide behind a screen. Nobody had to see her very human reactions. She always had time to think and put her best side forward. Not without that protection. Here, she could be judged on sight, she didn't have the chance to create herself in to something better than she was. Now everybody would know her as a dorky, scrawny and kinda androgynous nerd, who spoke in internet terms and memes, was a maths and technology whiz but didn't know squat about magic. She was so screwed.

"N-negative," she insisted, shaking her head. "No malfunctions. I'm functioning fine." Unfortunately, she spoke of herself as if she were a computer. That was just the way she spoke, it was a habit she'd picked up. She paused, looking away for a moment before she turned to the boy with a nod. "I'm Stella, just so you know. But you can call me Hax or Cat or whatever, I don't mind. And what might I refer to you as?"

Yorick looked at her. Malfunctioning? What, did she think she was a computer? She looked somewhat distressed. She seemed to be odd, talking like a computer, wearing robes clearly too large for her... And her nicknames. They had nothing to do with her real name, Stella...

Wait, what was HE talking about? His name was Yorick, he had no room to talk about other people's names. He sighed thinking about this... He wasn't sure what to make of her. he actually thought, despite looking somewhat boyish, that she looked cute. It may have been how small she seemed in the robes, or her vulnerability, but she was...He'd heard the word before, it seemed to fit here; Adorkable.

He then realized he hadn't yet answered her question.

"Oh... I'm sorry. I'm Yorick, Yorick Brightrune." he said extending a hand.
