Arisa had finally gotten a full day off work at the hospital, and planned to spend the whole day with her son. Spencer was 6 months old now, and everyday she fell in love with him more. The one thing she hated was that he had to spend so much time with the nanny because of her new job. So when she did get the odd day off she liked to take him out, and spoil him. Of course there wasn't much you could spoil a six month old with, but she tried. Her little boy had all toys a baby could want, not to mention a pet rock Aeon had suckered her into buying. Once they got to the park Arisa picked out a sunny spot, and parked the baby carriage. She laid out a soft blanket, and pulled Spencer out of his carriage. The little baby coo'd, and drooled a little. Arisa laughed softly, wiped the drool off with her sleeve, and sat down cradling Spencer. Whose mommy's special little boy? Who is it?" She asked. Spencer babbled a little more baby talk while reaching out for Arisa's face, and smiling. That's right you are!" she said before kissing both her son's cheeks, and nose.

Arisa laid Spencer down on his tummy on the blanket next to her under the shade of an umbrella. While she enjoyed sitting in the sun Spencer's little body couldn't handle too much of it. The little boy tried to pull himself up, but he wasn't quite there yet. She was so proud. In a few months he would be crawling like a pro, and then walking. Then of course she would have to get him a toy broom. She didn't want him to inherit her fear of flying. Arisa pulled Spencer's stuffed dragon out of her bag, and put it down next to him. He went and grabbed for it almost immediately, and began to chew on one of its horns. Arisa giggled, and pulled out her own entertainment for the afternoon. It was a book she had begun reading during her maternity leave, but hadn't had the chance to finish yet. It was a cheesey teen romance novel. She knew that a doctor shouldn't be reading such immature things, but she couldn't help it. There was only so many medical journals a person could read before they got too dry.
