Shaylah walked up to the cliffs and pulled her hood down. The sun was bright as the leaves fell off the trees. It wasn't hot but Shaylah wasn't cold. Cold wasn't something that effected her very much. She had grown up in Scotland after all.
Shay turned her head when she heard someone else nearby. She saw Lily stood not far away. The younger girl didn't seem to have noticed the fact that Shaylah was there which was a good thing in Shaylah's opinion. She walked over to Lily with a smirk on her face. Before Lily spotted her, she grabed her hair and pulled her head backwards then put her hand over her mouth before she could speak. "Hello Angelica." Shaylah's voice was evil and menacing as she spoke. She loved hurting Lily. It was payback for what Sam had done to Tracy.

Lily had been having a pretty decent day. She had done well in her class and had already done her homework. Plus, she had been having a good conversation with her brother. She had written a letter home to her mum and had just given it to her owl to send it off.
On her way back to the common room, she head decided she was having a good enough day to spend some time by herself in the sun. The cliffs had been the first place she thought of.
Lily had been so distracted by her thoughts that she never heard the light footsteps approaching her. She gasped in pain and shock when she felt someone yank her hair from behind. A hand went over her mouth when she was about to tell the person to get off. Then she heard the voice that she least wanted to hear. Her breath sped up before she had time to try and control it.

Shaylah laughed when she heard Lily's breath speed up. She shoved Lily to the ground and kicked her ribs a few times. "You're pathetic. I don't know how I was ever friends with you." Shay knelt on Lily's chest and punched her in the face. Watching Lily in pain was something that she couldn't help but laugh at. There had been one time when she had considered Lily to be like a sister but that had all changed when Lily's mum had threatened her mum. Sice then, Shay had wanted revenge. The only people Shay truely cared about were her family, Ivy and Teddy. If she was asked what she thought about anyone else then she would say they were worthless scum.

Jessica was walking along the cliffs when she noticed a second year girl and as she watched the girl beat up another younger girl, she instantly realised who it was. Shaylah. She had heard a lot about Shaylah and how she beat up people who teased her about her family. The poor girl had it just like Jessica did, and Jessica knew what it was like to have your parents in Azkaban and people to tease you, it was easier for Shaylah though because it was only her father in there. Luckily though, Jessica had learnt to beat people up to get them to shut up.

She narrowed her eyes when she saw the girl that looked like she was a first year. Slytherins were supposed to stick together, not pick on others because of their families. She quickly walked forward and using all of her strength, she began dragging Shaylah away so there was no way for Shaylah to fight back. Her eyes glared warningly at the other girl to warn her to stay there as she would talk to her later about what she had seen. She would make sure that girl would pay.

She loosened her hold slightly on Shaylah and looked at her warningly, noticing that the girl appeared to be crazy to others, that she appeared to be a loose cannon to others, but Jessica saw what the girl must really be feeling. 'What did that girl do to make you so angry Shaylah?' She asked, she wouldn't tell anyone, but she actually did feel sorry for the girl, and that she could relate to her.

Shaylah was furious when she felt someone pulling her away. It felt like a girl but she was strong. Shaylah couldn't get free from the persons grip. That was something that didn't happen much. Most of the people in this school were freaks with no muscle who didn't know how to fight. None of them were able to hurt Shaylah. This person was different.
When she looked round, she realised it was a slytherin girl. She didn't know her but she had seen her around. Her name was Jessica or something like that. She frowned when Jessica asked what Lily had done. "There's been a feud between our two families for months now. She's paying the price for what her stupid, idiotic mother did to my mum." Tracy was the one person Shaylah looked up to. The only thing that she didn't look up to her for was fashion suggestions as Shay was a tomboy. "It's none of your business what happens in my family so get lost." Shay had never been the most polite of girls but the anger she felt for the aurors had grown and made her even less polite than she already had been.

Jessica narrowed her eyes at Shaylah when she said that it was none of her business, and her hand snapped forward to slap Shaylah as hard as she could on the side of the face. 'It's none of my business?!' She snapped shocked, 'Weren't you listening to Professor Styx, he told us to be a house as the others discriminate against us!' She knew that Shaylah most likely was hurting, but Jessica did know what Shaylah was feeling, and it was her business even though it didn't seem like it. She wouldn't get lost until she had forced some sense into Shaylah one way or another, it didn't matter if Jessica had to beat her up or anything, but she would make Shaylah see her things no matter what. She knew that she probably shouldn't have been letting her anger get the control of her, but right now, she didn't really care.

((It's up to you whether it connected or not))

Shaylah felt the burning pain when Jessica's hand conected with Shaylah's face. Anger bubbled up inside her as she glared at the older girl. "I wasn't there to listen to Professor Styx. I never listen to the teachers unless they're talking about something which will actually help me in the future." Shaylah shook her head. "I'm not part of that house. I'm not part of the school. I'm an outsider. No one here understands me. They just take it as an opportunity to get at the midget slytherin girl. This is my way of proving that small can be fiesty." Shay hated it when people thought she wouldn't be able to fight back just because she was smaller than most other people.

Jessica bit her lip to keep back a smart retort and decided that maybe it would be best if she agreed with Shaylah. She honestly did anyway. 'You're right, small can be feisty.' She agreed, thinking back to the times that she had fought back against others. 'You're not an outsider also,' She continued firmly, her voice strong as she gazed steadily at the girl, making sure to keep eye contact to now show weakness. 'I know someone else who knows exactly what you're going through and what you're feeling.' She added, her voice quieter, but still steady. 'It also doesn't matter if you think you're not a part of this school or house, once a Slytherin, always a Slytherin.'

(Sorry I haven't replied for ages, school's been hectic lately. I have exams coming up as well, that's why.)

((It's OK. I know what you mean. I'm doing exams at the moment.))

Shaylah shook her head. "If I'm such a Slytherin then why does no one understand me??" Shaylah tried to keep her voice steady as she spoke. She was angry that Jessica had interferred with what she was doing. If there's someone else going through the same thing then who is it?? I bet they have no idea what I'm feeling right now." Shaylah didn't know how anyone could know how she felt. Only she understood herself. Even Sydney didn't completely understand her and they were sisters. Sydney was going through the same thing as Shaylah. Shaylah was by herself with what she was dealing with.
