It had been a long time since Maddie had ventured down into the Kitchens. The last time she had been there she and Hemi had sabotaged the Lagowski twins soup which ended in chaos! She felt incredibly sorry for the house elves who had to work in that kitchen with the horrible smell and the food fight that had erupted. But she found herself giggling at the memory of it anyway. Maddie sneaked out of Gryffindor tower with ease, she had done this many times before and the curfew was finally lifted for the Gryffindors and she intended to make full use of the freedom. Earlier in the day she had agreed with Amy to meet her outside of her common room and then they would move on to the Kitchens.

When she reached the fourth floor she creeped along the corridor, careful to stay in the shadows so she wouldn't be seen by a Prefect or a Professor. She soon reached the entrance to the Hufflepuff common and slipped behind a statue as cover in case someone walked past and saw her.

Amy wanted to have something to eat, and therefore - without calling her brother this time, she wasn't exactly in the mood to get into trouble and for Dan to talk to her continuously - she ventured outside of the Hufflepuff common room, where she would meet Maddie and they would venture down to the Kitchens. Thankfully it was near the common room, Amy would hate to think of what kind of trouble she would get into with her best friend if someone discovered they were out of bed after curfew. Especially after last time. She hadn't told her twin brother about sneaking around with a Gryffindor, that would make him follow her even when she could convince him everything was going to be fine. Daniel was like that. Which was why she needed her space sometimes. Besides she was hungry and wanted to spend time with her best friend alone. Amy knew she would remember these nights during her days as a Hogwarts graduate. Shrugging it off for the moment and being in the present, she was about to take another step when she felt the presence someone slip behind a statue. She cautiously tiptoed over where she heard the slight shuffling of feet and looked behind the big statue. Her face split into a grin. It had only been Maddie.

Maddie wasn't paying much attention to what was happening around her so when she saw a figure appear in front of her she jumped out of her skin and nearly knocked the statue she was hiding behind on the floor. "Oh my god! Amy!" she cried out and laughed. "You scared the life about of me!" she said. "I was hiding behind the statue in case there was someone patrolling tonight" Maddie said, she thought what she was doing needed an explanation. "Are you ready to go?" She asked her best friend. Maddie had only been to the kitchens once before and that was with Hemi when they sabotaged the Lagowski twins soup, she wondered what could happen during this trip to the kitchens with Amy.
