Maddiie walked into the familiar school setting as she clutches hold of her duffle bag. It felt like ages since she last saw those around her, but really it had only been a couple weeks. Her father Roswald Hollawarth, had thought a brief vacation with all his kids was due. The only reason he did it, because he had came to realize his small family was drifting apart. But than again dad doesn’t realize we were ageing quickly she sighed as she walk towards the staircase. Already in her 6th year she still haven’t decided what she will be doing after Hogwarts. “It seems like yesterday, “ she mumbled walking slowly up the first set of stairs only to stop dropping her hefty bad. Of course she could have used magic but what was the rush to go upstairs.

She plop herself down, as the staircase rotated in slow fluent motion, she was used to it but enjoyed drifting as her mind did as well. She begins to reminisce the past memories, of when she first came to Hogwarts. Of course it was around the same time she had lost her older brother, but again he would have been happy for her either way. How she felt so lost and confused but excited the first day. Or how she had thought she wouldn’t make any friends. Only to have meet quite a few people, they were lovely memories, she smiled to herself as a few students walked by her wondering if she was okay or not. Maddiie simply nodded, only recognizing a few but when back to her past memories.

Even the worst of them would forever stay with her. She had remembered everything, even the time when she was attacked by a squid. She shudders to think about the past time, but realized it didn’t keep her away from the lake. Were she spent most of time with people she cared about. Grande was one of them; she blushed lightly thinking about him, along with Ginny. They had been the close of her friends, like true Hufflepuff was with a Ravenclaw. Drifting back towards the staircase she let out a sighs, “Where have those memories went?” she asked herself, as the staircase corridors became departed of the rest of the wondering students.

Cyndi left the Gryffindor common room to head downstairs for a run. Last term, she had gone running quite often and it had helped her to clear her mind of most of her troubles and stress. She knew that this semester was probably going to be even worse because NEWTs were right around the corner.

She was pulled from her own thoughts when she heard someone say aloud “Where have those memories went?”. A few steps below Cyndi was a girl who looked right around her own age. Cyndi struggled to try and remember whether this girl was someone who had been in her own year, but when she couldn't she gathered that she must either be a 5th or 6th year.

Slowly going down the remaining steps until she was on the same step as the girl, Cyndi replied "Oh, I'm sure they are still here somewhere." She gave the girl a reassuring smile, "Do you need help?" she asked. She gestured toward the suitcases near the girl.

Maddiie optics nearly popped out of her sockets, as a hush blush would rush blending with her olive complexion, as she stood up slightly embarrassed. “Oh am I in your way, sorry about that” she bent down to retrieve her duffle bag as she held it tight in front of her. “Sorry didn’t realize there was still others around me” she says recovering back to normal to look up towards a familiar face that she seen around school once or twice. “Have we meet before” she blurted out without thinking.

Cyndi was sorry to see that she scared the girl, who quickly apologized to her. "No need to be sorry...I don't have class now so I always wait until after the rush to set out" she explained as the girl held her bags in front of her.

When the girl asked if they had met before, Cyndi shrugged her shoulders and smiled. "I was just going to ask you the same thing. I think we have, but I'm not sure. Are you just getting back?" Cyndi asked as she put out her hand and introduced herself. "I'm Cyndi Weasley...Oh sorry" she said as she realized that the girl didn't have a free hand to shake with. She dropped her hand quickly and waited to hear the girl's name, wondering if it would jar some memory of them having met before.

Maddiie graced her with a slight smile forming upon her soft crimson pout as she listen towards the girl explanation "Its quite alright I'm sure you didn't mean to scare me, besides I was the one who had lost their mind from just wondering" she let out a light chuckle as Cyndi finally introduced herself. "Oh a Weasley, a pleasure to finally know your name Cyndi" she grinned as she let go the bag, letting it 'plop' in front of her.
"I'm Maddiie Hollawarth, do think we may have seen each other but never formally introduce ourselves to one another" she says as she extends her hand to shakes hers briefly. As they parted Maddiie nodded slightly "I was sort of on vacation, my father kind of dragged my brothers and I" she rolled her eyes a bit, not regretting the time spent, but the time she misses out in Hogwarts.

Cyndi chuckled as the girl said Oh a Weasley. It never usually entered her mind that she had one of the most recognized wizarding family surnames. That was usually most people's reactions though. When the girl indicated that her name was Maddie, Cyndi smiled. The name didn't sound familiar so she figured that Maddie was right and they had seen each other but never met.

While Maddie explained where she had been, the Gryffindor girl smiled. Seeing the eye roll, however, made her wonder if Maddie had enjoyed the trip. "Did you get to do anything interesting on your trip?" Cyndi curiously asked. It had been a while since she had been on vacation with her family. In fact, her family was currrently on vacation while she was in school. Had it been any other school, Cyndi likely would have been upset, but since it was HNZ, she was dealing with it just fine.

“Well actually I did, but I always seem to miss a lot when I’m gone” she huffed a bit. “I went to go see my abuelo in Puerto Rico, he missed us. So he went there, had fun the sun always out except of course at night” she grinned as her olive tint complexion spoke for itself. The tan she would get, always seem to be the same skin tone as her mother. Most of the time she was there, her grandfather had kept confusing Maddiie with her mother. It made her smile a bit, but in another way sad.

It being almost two years now, well sort of, it still made her sad. Of course she was losing track at times sometimes but it was because at one point she had missed her greatly and couldn’t let go. Having a mental break down was one of the reasons why her father started this vacation tradition sort of with his family. He had taken them to some parts of the world their mother used to like to visit; it made them a lot closer to her in a way you couldn’t explain. And also the new memories they now have, it was great. “Not much changed around here?” she ask finally drifting back into her current state of mind.

Cyndi listened as Maddie spoke about where she had been. "Puerto Rico? That sounds fun!" She had never been to Puerto Rico before, but heard that it was a really fun place to visit. She saw that Maddie had a deep tan probably partially from the vacation and partially from good genes and glanced down at her own fading tan. Back when she had first gotten it, Cyndi thought her tan looked amazing, but it was fading quickly from being indoors most of the time. Cyndi hoped that with quidditch, she would spend more time outdoors especially since it was summertime in New Zealand.

When Maddie asked if anything had changed around here, Cyndi shrugged. "Mostly the usual...professors leaving...lots of new first years... Oh, and we had this really terrible magazine that was spilling gossip about everyone. I haven't seen one in a while though..." Cyndi wondered whether whoever had written the Gossip Magazine had been caught because she hadn't seen an issue in a while. She hadn't heard anything around the school about it though, but that didn't mean much because Cyndi was so busy these days that she probably had heard something and just didn't remember.

"Really a magazine?" Maddiie expression changed wondering what she really missed. She only knew of gossip magazine in the muggel world, but to have one here surprising. She would begin to think about the other thing Cyndi had stated. Professors always seem to come and go, most of them leave Hogwarts and move on to big and better things. But she had begin to wonder if Headmistress Alicia was still about.

"I'm just glad to be back, its feels like forever since I last seen these walls" she smile faintly hoisting her duffle to her left shoulder.

Cyndi nodded and rolled her eyes as she recalled the magazine. It her opinion, that magazine had been nothing but trouble. "Believe me...you didn't miss anything about it." When Maddie said that it felt like forever since she had been here, Cyndi looked at her quizzically. "How long have you been gone? Were you here for the Triwizard tournament?" she asked.

"Not really. Well I was sort of , I remember putting my name into the goblet. And the two schools that were here, I had to admit though I was kind of nervous entering and was relief I didn't get chosen. That's when my father took us out of school again." Maddiie knew the only explanation of her fathers behavior was due to the fact he lost his wife. But sometimes she wander if he had other reason besides her mother.

"Our family still kind of going through some tough times. Its like one problem gets solved while another rises out of nowhere" Maddiie sigh as she look along the wall"But I heard the headmistress was abducted. Was that true" she ask Cyndi looking back

Cyndi listened to Maddie talk about her family and when she had left. Her eyes widened for a moment as she realized just how much Maddie had missed. "Yea, she did. During one of the tasks, death eaters somehow made it into the school and kidnapped her...and she just never returned." Cyndi frowned as she thought back to that terrifying day and how panicked everyone was. "Now, Professor Rambolt, the old Herbology professor is the headmistress." Cyndi liked Professor Rambolt when she had had her as an Herbology professor and thought that she ran the school pretty well.

“Wait she never return?” Maddiie eyes widen, as she dropped her duffle bag. “Clearly the last time she was here she had not gotten the full story straight. “But they told me…they said they had found her?” she ask feeling the panic in her voice rise a bit abnormal. To think that her head mistress for so long had really been abducted and everyone around her still going on with their normal lives, and still she could be alive somewhere, maybe being torture by the hands of those…death eaters. She shudders to think of how her mother had died, every now and than she ears dropped whenever her father talk about it with close friends. Every now and than she was getting closer towards the truth….

Cyndi was confused for a second as the girl seemed to grow panicked over hearing the news about the headmistress. Didn't I mention she was found? Cyndi thought to herself and then realized she hadn't. "No,no" Cyndi said quickly, realizing she had confused the girl. "They did find her...aurors, I think. It was all over the daily prophet. She just didn't return as headmistress and I don't blame her. All that stress probably wiped her out" Cyndi smiled weakly as she finished explaining herself further.

((x//x good one you had me fooled :p))

Maddiie let out an exhale of relief only to sigh right after. “Oh darn it, I didn’t get to say goodbye than” she pout sadly thinking how much she paid so much respect for the head mistress. She had thought Professor Rambolt was only taking her position temporary, but now knowing that was the case she would have to figure out a way to contact her. “Boy it seems a lot has really happen than. I’m sure you’re getting prep up for N.E.W.Ts exams” she asked Cyndi curiously wondering how’s she doing with that.

Cyndi smiled as the girl's confusion seemed to lift away. When the subject turned to NEWTs, however, the smile left her face fairly quickly. With a sigh, she answered " Yea...I am. I feel like I haven't gotten a good night's sleep in ages because of these darn NEWTs." Since the term had just begun, Cyndi hadn't really had to much work yet, but she knew that would soon change. In another week or so, she knew she would be spending hours in the library and studying as she had done last term.

"Don't feel bad" Maddiie said knowingly well she was far behind "I have lots of catching up to do, and may end up moving into the library in my case" she groan just thinking about all the work she had missed. All the magic she had to learn, it gave her a migrant growing by the edge of eye lids "Gah I need major help" she whine

Cyndi smiled sympathetically as she realized that Maddie probably did know how she felt even though it wasn't her NEWT year yet. "I guess we'll be seeing a lot of each other in the library then" she said with a shake of her head.

When Maddie said that she needed help, Cyndi thought of a sixth year who might help. "Perhaps you can ask someone in your year to help...I'm sure they'll remember you." She would have offered to help herself if it wasn't for the fact that she had her own studying to do for NEWTs and quidditch practice in addition to her prefect duties, which she had been neglecting.

"I don't suppose I can ask extra help from the professors" she said wondering as the thought flow in her head. I'm sure they are willing to help, but the rest she would have to do herself. "Yes the library, by the way I'm going I might as well move right in" she chuckle at the thought as well.

Cyndi nodded emphatically. "I'm sure most if not all of them would help you out if you asked them." She knew that one of her roommates, Andy, was receiving extra help in a few of her classes. "Were you heading up to your common room?" Cyndi asked, noticing again that Maddie had her suitcase with her. She hoped that she wasn't keeping the girl from anything.

"I was yes actually, but I don't mind seeing you around sometimes" she smiled back at her as her eyes gleam in the afternoon sunlight. "Its seem I haven't been around Brightstone or anything, and I still need some me times with other people around" she says knowing how she gets when she goes into full study mood. She would barely come out of her room and doesn't want that to happen again this year.

Cyndi smiled back and nodded sympathetically. If Maddie was anything like her when it came to studying, then Cyndi fully understood how lonely things could get. When she studied, Cyndi usually lost touch with many of the things that were happening in the school. "I think we have a brightstone weekend in a week or so" she said, unsure of the exact date," We should definitely hang out." She was looking quite forward to the upcoming brightstone weekend because she didn't yet have much work to do in her classes. It would probably be the only one she could enjoy thoroughly.

“Great than I will see you there, meet you at the three broomsticks” she grinned pulling her hefty bag over shoulder, only for it to drop on the ground next to her. “Gah, never should have let my father take me shopping” she groan as she whip out her wand, and with a flick of her wrist she would part her lips to say “Wingardium Levios” she says in a clear voice pointing at her belongings. They would drift up into the air as she directs them towards the stairs as she walk. “How are the new arrival of professor by the way” she ask as she continues her conversation up towards the stairs.

"Cool" Cyndi said as the two girls made plans to meet in brightstone. As Maddie gathered her things to leave, she asked Cyndi a question. "Well...there are a lot of new professors since you were here. I think the only old professors left are Manteia and Lloyd. They're all pretty good though. I've heard that one of the History of Magic professors is a real looker" Cyndi said with a girly giggle. She had caught only a quick glimpse of the professor but knew that many of the girls talked about him as they walked in the halls. "And Professor Rowann is excellent. She teaches Defense."

Maddiie giggle knowing well how that was. She had a slight crush on one of the professors her previous years before. Just the fact that they were a bit older and had facial hair made had driven her towards the crush. "Thanks for the heads to Cyndi just hope they stay until I'm done with school" she wave towards the Gryffindor girl, as she made her way up the stairs wondering if they had learn disappear by now. "See you at Brightstone" she call out smiling as she disappears into the fourth floor corridors.
