5th June, 2062

Today is my birthday!!!!! I'm nine now and Sofie and Leo woke me up early because they rushed into my bedroom and sang WAY TOO LOUD! Leo doesn't even like to sing unless it's to WAKE ME UP! UGH so annoying. But it was kind of funny though and they both made me these cute little card drawings of me with little sea creatures like little stars and things. That was actually really cute because last year I said I wanted to be a mermaid when I was older. I don't think I will be a mermaid now though but it was still kind of fun! My name also means the sea, so that was cute too. Dad made pancakes for breakfast this morning. He even added the extra syrup how I like it, which he never does, but it was my birthday so he HAD to, obviously. I think he was trying really really hard to day, since mum isn't here. He looked so tired today. He always looks tired these days. But at least he was smiling! I wanted to ask about mum, but it didn't feel like the right time. I didn't want him to stop smiling. I really miss her. It gets harder every year. I dont even know if Leo remembers her, or Sofia since she was only three. I wonder about her a lot sometimes, how she is, what she looks like now, does she think about us? Dad says she does, but we aren't allowed to send letters. He always just says she would have loved to be here, then he gets really quiet. He doesn't tell stories anymore. Leo says he doesn't want to know, and Sofia thinks of me more than of mum. Maybe they're right and I should stop thinking about her, but I don't think so. I miss her. I hope she misses me too.
