Malkin was born on November 21, 2042 in Braşov, Romania, she lived there 2 years before her parents moved to New Zealand (the country where her mother came from) .As most primary witchcraft schools were too far from home. them, she had a somewhat hectic Muggle schooling with several reprimands from her teachers who described her as a preturbator but every time they thought they had caught her breaking the rules, all traces of those seemed to disappear mysteriously.
Living near the sea, Malkin used to take long walks to get away from the house until her parents stopped arguing about their debts, only to find the house empty, her parents probably left playing with the money they didn't have or something like that,again.

At the social level, she had many friends but with whom she lost contact due to her many moves to different regions of the country, she had try not to get too attached to people in general, but she always ended up doing it unfortunately .

When Malkin received her letter for Hogwarts, she jumped of joy: No more parents, less loneliness and more chance of unlocking her magical potential, she thought. All she was persuaded for the coming year was that she did not intend to come back during the holidays, out of the question, and that her classmates would have to prepare well for the competition because she had no intention of letting herself be surpass by people with so little ambition.
