Dreams were insatiably annoying, Cairo had learned. They recurred frequently and remained the same, never giving him anything to help him forge an explanation or even a basic level of what each of the 'symbols' could mean, and it left him reeling while alternately craving a way to find out more. Attending his divination classes for the sake of interpreting his dreams were equal parts annoying as the dreams themselves and proved to be pointless with every moment he spent listening and attempting to interpret his dream to no avail. Cairo knew the information and the classes weren't the issue, but he could not help but leave every lesson feeling unsatisfied and worse, annoyed at himself for not learning a way to solve his problem.

It seemed that half the problem of his recurring dream to begin with was not knowing what it meant as it caused his mind to fill in blanks and create a long, unbelievable list of 'what ifs' rather than possible interpretations of it. And it did not help one bit that his divination classes were vague enough to only add to the list, instead of narrowing it down to something more concise and realistic that could actually help him. It had gotten so frustrating that he had considered seeing his professor outside of class to confront his dream issue, but also so frustrating that he hadn't seen the professor, from worry that any questions he asked would be given another vague answer that he could not do anything with. The point of divination was to be vague so the person it involved could make up their own minds about an interpretation and Cairo was smart enough to understand that, however the vagueness did not help him in the slightest and instead forced him to spend even more of his spare time in the library than he was already, reading through all the dream related books he could find in search of answers. That day was no exception and Cairo had his nose buried in yet another dream book among the stack next to him on the table, trying to figure everything out for his own peace of mind, and what even seemed to be his well-being as his dream in question was stressing him out more than it was probably worth. He sighed to himself in frustration before turning the page, hoping that this book, out of many, would be the one with the answers he was looking for.
