Izzy took a deep breath. She wanted to move on - really - but it was hard. This year she had promised herself that she would try to start new without drama from her family. She needed to get over and fix what was going on because otherwise she would have a hard time focusing on school. Isabelle was a fourth year which meant she had to either find some company soon or make an effort to be the sociable one for a change. Izzy had never felt more desperate for friends, she had no idea how far she'd be willing to go to have just one friend. Change was not an easy concept for the Ravenclaw and it usually cause problems. Change was what drifted her apart from her father. They were talking, but Izzy was not feeling comfortable enough in telling him everything that she felt, and because he was her only real parent she couldn't afford to lose him. But he changed as well.

Isabelle sighed, looking down at the bottom of the cliffs. Any normal person would not seem as insane as she did right now to be staring at the bottom of the tall cliff and not have a heart attack because of heights. But Izzy loved being this high up. She didn't exactly care whether it was legal or not, it probably was, however the only thing on her mind right now was what she felt from the adrenaline rush. The brunette definitely wasn't suicidal, that much she knew. To somebody else, it may have looked like she was going to jump. It wasn't entirely inaccurate but it would be rather unfortunate for others to find yet another dead student so soon. Besides Izzy did not hate her life that much to jump off a cliff. She closed her eyes and enjoyed the wind on her face. She longed for a new friend these days. She needed someone who will be there when she eventually crumbled.

It was the beginning of Zach's final year at Hogwarts and he knew it was going to be emotional and difficult. There was a lot he was going to be saying goodbye to and he wasn't sure he would be ready when the time came, luckily there was a whole year and a ton of studying to go before that would happen. The term was still early so he wasn't yet crippled with the overbearing pressure of his NEWTs. Glad that he still had some time to himself before seventh year really got going Zach decided to head out onto the grounds. He knew over the coming year he would spend a lot of time inside, either in the library or the common room so he wanted enjoy being outside while he still had the free time to do it.

One of Zach's favourite places to go had always been the cliffs, it would be one of the places he missed most when he left the school so he knew it had to be his first stop. There was a slight chill in the air as winter was still transitioning into spring. It was Zach's favourite time of year, the start of a new academic year, new possibilities. When Zach made it up onto the cliffs, he was alarmed at what he saw. Zach's young team mate Isabelle, he frowned. The girl was far too close to the edge for his liking. "Issy, are you ok?" He asked as he approached her.

Izzy was in her own world and often when she was it was hard to come out of it. So when she heard a familiar voice she turned around slowly and blinked a few times. "Hey, uh, yeah...I guess..." She smiled brightly at Zach and tried not to show how uncomfortable she felt by that question. When was she ever okay? The Ravenclaw wasn't the best of liars to be honest and she did not lie because she did not like it but in moments like this she forced herself to. Besides she hated talking about her problems to someone else unless she knew them really well. She would rather be in her own space and calm down first before she could tell anybody what was going on and put a heavy burden on their shoulders. It only made her feel worse. Admittedly she had the whole break to do so which would have counted as a restful, peaceful break had her father's new wife not been in the picture.

Isabelle sighed subconsciously and glanced back down at the water beneath the cliff. She got an idea and she knew what to do. She faced her friend once more and began to talk. "
How was your break? Are you happy or sad that it's your last year here?" She asked as curiously as she managed, purposefully trying to avoid the subject of possibly speaking about how she was doing. If by the end of the day she decided to speak or not was the furthest thing in her mind. Isabelle's reply had not sounded sincere enough this time, maybe Zach would either ignore it or see right through her. She couldn't help but wonder whether he was one of those people who could read minds even though she secretly wouldn't mind telling him what was wrong. As she asked him the question she could not help but notice something similar to that of her deceased mother, an expression she had often showed for Izzy but the young Ravenclaw could not pinpoint exactly what it was.
