Kayden wasn't having the greatest time at Hogwarts. It had taken all her courage to apply with Sheena and Izumi and they didn't get in. It was a nightmare. She had no friends and most were afraid of her after they found out how her nose and jaw were broken from the play fight she had had with Sheena before she came. The teachers were nice, like in hogwarts Scotland but people actually talked to her there. She found herself walking toward the cliffs, they were peaceful and not many kids came because it is forbidden. She sat on the hard ground and wished she were back in her apartment with Izumi, but she was still here in the place were everyone was scared of her.

Sam was walking the cliffs bored and upset, her twin brother had been ignoring her since the last letter from their mother had came in telling us that our father is ill and she wants us to go home, Sam of course had refused and pretended that she didn’t see the letter.

She took a deep breath and flexed her bruised and cut knuckles, she had a habit of getting herself into play fights that turn a little rough.

Her mind going back over one of her most recent fights she smiled to herself, remembering that this fight was started with the simple word ‘hello’.

The fresh air was making her feel much better, knowing that her brother would be too much of a goody too-shoes to come after her here, put her even more at ease.

Feeling much better she looked around and noticed another girl on her slightly older than her sat on her own, she decided that it wouldn’t hurt to go and sit by her.

Kayden saw a girl come over and sit by her. The first thing she noticed was the cut up hands. "Hello." She figured she would talk first. "I can fix that if you'd like." She nodded toward the cut up hands. She was used to having to heal herself. The fights she got to normally got bloody and her mother wouldn't want her 'baby' to go out all roughed up so, she had tought her how to heal herself if needed be.

Relieved by the warm welcome she really couldn’t be bothered with yet another fight, “hi” she replied with a warm smile “can you really do that?” She decided that was going to be one skill that would come in handy especially with her recent record of ‘little disagreements’ as her brother put it.

Kayden smiled and healed the girl quickly. "Yeah, I'm Kayden Hayashi." She bowed her head lightly as was in her tradition when meeting someone new. "You should wear a scarf around you hand when fighting until you get used to it." She smiled, she could tell the wounds had been from fighting and was not afraid to admit it.

She felt instant relief as the girl healed her hand, she said "thank you" to the girl, "Im sam" she smiled, "and I am more than used to fighting, much to my mums disgust" she grinned remembering the humorous circumstances that got her into her last ‘disagreement’.

“I guess you’ve got yourself into a few fights then?”

"It's my passion." Kayden smiled. She was thinking this might be her first true friend and Hogwarts. "Mush to my mother's disgust." She smiled remembering the look on her mother's face after the last really bad fight. It put a large grin on her face. The fight had been short but both of them had got a lot of hits in before it was broken up.

Sam laughed, "And I thought that I was alone in the world" she felt better talking to the girl, knowing that someone else has the same problem with both their mother and getting into fights, she flexed her newly healed knuckles, she wanted to ask her new friend if she gets along with her mum when she's not getting into fights but she decided to wait for a while to work out if it is a safe subject.

So she smiled "so what was the last fight you got into about?"

Kayden laughed glad to finally have someone to understand her take on life. "Well it was mainly just for the thrill of the fight really. My mom didn't know about this one. It was with a friend of mine, she loves to fight to." Kayden smiled. She really missed Izumi and Shenna. The girl seemed like her type of gal though and hoped for the best. "What about you?" She asked curiously.

Sam grinned, she seemed to have so much in common with her, she nodded and smiled as she told the story.
"she sounds really cool" she said about the girls friend.

She laughed "Well...I ended up fighting with this girl thanks to my lovely twin brother" she giggled and took a moment "mum hasn't heard yet, but I'm sure he's going to rat me out"

She decided to bite the bullet "Do you get along with your mum, when you don't get into fights, I mean."

Kayden smiled as Sam talked. She nodded a few times when she finished. She was surprised to here that she had a twin brother, but didn't say anything. The next question hit her unexpectedly. "Well... I don't really see my mom that much..." She looked down not wanting to tell the girl how much money her family had or how she never saw her stuck up parents since they sent her away. "But when I do she's always mad at me so."

Sam sensed that it would be best to not push the subject, "yeah, I'm the same" she said, "mum hasn't been great for a few years now, well not with me anyway. She's still fine with my brother"

Sam sighed taking in the view it was a fairly warm day and the sun felt great on her normally pale skin, she finished the first of her apples in silence hoping the other girl could come up with something to talk about.

Kayden half-smiled and looked at Sam. "So what house and year are you?" she asked wanting to change the subject quickly. She knew it wasn not best to talk about ones family normally around wizards and witches, for that matter most of them came from broken family's. She looked back down the cliffs. "I'm a Gryfindor fourth year."
