Although Kalif Styx the Second said that he would come up here with Sawyer Hayes and Rai Mckenna, Kalif decided that he would come and see it for himself first. The family that was with him today was standing far back, none other than Hades Styx the Third, practicing his role of Guardian, which was working out pretty well since he was hidden very well. It actually felt like Kalif was still alone. The Slytherin looked over the cliffs, and could see why it was forbidden. He glanced down at the ground before laying a black blanket upon it, and sat down. It was peaceful. He could get some studying done out here. He opened his bag and got out an old, ancient looking book. It had the Zhefarovich crest on it, worn out and almost one with the cover. He opened the book and started to read. The text was in Bulgarian, of course. He set his other school textbooks to the side so that he could change it over every fifteen minutes or so. He didn't want to focus on just one subject, otherwise his interest would be lost.

Ordinarily, Mary Lou was not one for adventures. Well, actually she loved to explore, but the last few weeks had been more than enough of an information overload, what with classes and moving portraits and candles that floated in the air with no strings, Mary Lou had just about reached the quota for today of things she could handle without screaming. She'd tucked herself away in the corner of the library, where she spent most of her non-class or common room time, trying to understand this new world she had found herself in. Yet, somehow, or perhaps it was inevitable, Elysia, the first and really only friend, she had managed to find her and convince her that maybe today they should spend some time outside. Of course Mary Lou took her books, determined to get some sun, but do it whilst being productive as well. She didn't know where they were going, but as Elysia kept urging her to keep walking, they soon left the grounds and made their way to what appeared to be cliffs. "Are we supposed to be here, Lysi, it seems kind of... not allowed?" She had no idea if this was supposed to be out of bounds, she had listened to any of the opening speeches during the sorting ceremony and after that she had been far too preoccupied with everything else to bother looking it up in a book. Classes took more of her time than she wished. It was only after the question had left her mouth that she noticed another person was there, a boy. "Oh, maybe its okay since there's someone else?" She asked.

Elysia was glad that she finally managed to convince her friend, Mary Lou, to go outside. Of course, she had already taken it upon herself to explore some parts of the castle and its grounds but she found that it was not nearly as fun without someone to explore with. And since Mary Lou was by far the closest friend she had managed to attained, due to some very interesting circumstances as well, she had decided that she would manage to get her friend to come to one of the more interesting places in the grounds. The Cliffs. It took some convincing of course, and some unwilling time spent in the library - yuck - but it was well worth it. She didn’t expect though for her friend to bring along books. Well, how were they going to go about on wild and daring adventures if her friend would be weighed down by books, Ely could only sighed and vowed to have her friend not bring those the next time around. Elysia snorted though when her friend asked if they were even allowed to be on the cliffs. “It’s only not allowed if you’re caught, you know,” the Hufflepuff said before she spotted a boy that she was pretty sure was in their year that was reading. “See! Even he knows that!” she said gesturing to the unknown boy.

Kalif, all he wanted was some peace, sighed in irritation since he heard some voices. Girl voices. Neither belonged to his sister, so he didn't bother looking around. What was worse was they were talking at him, instead of to him. He set his book down and stated, coldly and loudly, "It is incredibly rude to speak to someone's back, especially when they can hear it." Kalif continued to look ahead, since he had no plans to see who they were, just that they would leave him alone. That was why he was here to begin with. He wanted some peace, and still, he got disturbed. Where could he go to get some freaking peace around here?

Mary Lou was surprised when she realised she was being spoken to, and that the boy speaking did not appear to be very happy that he was not being address properly. Mary Lou dropped her books immediately, horrified that she might have offended a potential friend and rushed to his side, dropping to her hands and knees immediately to apologise. "I am so very sorry I've offended you, that was not my intention at all!" She told him, hoping he would understand that she just wanted to know if this place was out of bounds, but since he was here she had to assume it was not out of bounds at all.
