Sydney was lead with her eyes closed on the edge of the harbour, her legs were dangling out over the water and she could feel the strong breeze flow over her. She had her eyes closed so she could focus on her other senses. She liked the smell of the water and the sound of the waves mixed with people walking past her. She could feel small splashes from the water below and the roughness of the stone on her body where she lead.
After five minutes of relaxing, Sydney reopened her eyes and sat up. She was wearing her new clothes, a pair of faded grey skinny jeans with a red swirly pattern on the back pockets, a black tank top underneath a grey cotton jumper that said out of control in a darker grey and hung off one shoulder and her new pair of favourite shoes, a nice pair of green converses. She was embracing her new found style and loved ho it made her feel. People were still looking at her as she walked down the street but they were different looks and the blonde girl loved it.
Sydney smiled as she let her hair blow around in the wind. Her life was going pretty well at the moment. She had nice friends, she was doing well in school and she was finding herself properly. The only thing she could think of that would increase the greatness of her life was her family. The whole family was practically a minefield. Her mother was focusing on the twins and her fiance, refusing to let herself think about Jay, Marcus was being a whiny little boy child as usual and Shaylah, well, that girl was just a nasty little creature that refused to accept that they were her family now.
Sydne was pulled from her thoughts by her name being spoken. She turned to see an old acquaintance walking towards her. She smiled at the sight of him and waved. He looked better than he had the last time she had seen him, then he had just heard about his fathers' death and was debating leaving the school. It was now half way through the term at Hogwarts and it wasn't a Hogsmede weekend so she assumed he had decided to go with leaving. "Teddy, hi. How're you?"
