It was midday in New Zealand and Eilidh Evans had broken off from her family for the afternoon and was heading straight for the park in Brightstone Village. She had opted to come with her parents for a trip to New Zealand, her brother had chosen to stay at home, so Eilidh was a little bored with everything that her parents were doing. Since Lydia was now at Hogwarts with Eilidh's sister, Eilidh was a little bit lonely, she was the youngest of that lot. She was without any friends in New Zealand, since she lived in England and this was further impacted by the fact that school was still in session, which meant that she wasn't even able to play with other kids. Eilidh didn't regret coming, she liked spending time with her cousin's parent and her oldest cousin, Tybalt though he was much older than her, but she was glad that as the rest of the family went for some fancy lunch at a place that Eilidh didn't want to be, that they'd let her go to the park so that was exactly where Eilidh was currently going. She took off down the street, running pretty fast as she knew what awaited her, running with ease to the park. She hoped the swings would be empty. Eilidh was just looking to have fun and maybe she might make a friend while she was at it.

Coming to a stop and stepping into the park, Eilidh's smile grew, the young girl was very excited about the fact she'd soon be attending Hogwarts, she couldn't wait for it. She hoped to make as many friends as she had in primary school, she hoped to do as well academically. She wanted to do be better all round that her siblings, where her sister was more sports than books, and her brother academics over having friends. Eilidh was just looking forward to it all, and she'd be going to school with Ailsa and Lydia, it would just be amazing. She glanced around the park, letting her eyes explore the different things that this place had to offer her in terms of fun, but her brown eyes settled on the swings and that was it. She made her way over and sat down on one of the swings, moving her hair slightly out the way so that it wouldn't get caught on the chains of the swing. Her hair was due to be cut, and it was in a little bit of a mess, but Eilidh wasn't bothered with that at all. She had time to kill and was in the park, she was perfectly happy. She was counting down the days until she went to Hogwarts.

An afternoon walk was exactly what Jeon Taejun needed to relieve himself from yet another insufferable argument his parents endlessly had. An argument always seemed to climb its way through them wherever they went and Taejun hated this. A happy vacation to New Zealand was what his eomma promised him. The young boy suspected from the start that it was totally not going to be a happy one but if it meant leaving their gloomy mansion in South Korea, he wouldn't disobey, even if it was just for a week. A sigh escaped the young boy's lips as he inserted his hands inside his empty pockets. Sometimes, his parents' arguments entertained him more than it caused him annoyance. He found it quite amusing how much they argued. If he could have a penny for each debate they had, he'd be able to build himself his own Muggle rocket and blast his parents off to outer space. He smirked at the thought. He knew he hated his parents more than he hated his animal fur allergy. As young as he might be, he already planned to leave his household once he graduates from Hogwarts.

Hogwarts. The new topic caused him a mixture of emotions. Both his parents graduated from Hogwarts and the expectation that he would do so too both annoyed and excited him. He was not fond of studying, he made that clear with himself, but magic, specifically Transfiguration, just gave him that tinge of curiosity and excitement that he wanted to explore further. School wasn't in about a few months and he was glad. He heard lots about it, though. He had acquaintances who had siblings who attended Wizarding School and a lot of stories were told. Still, he was happy he still had more time to waste before he entered the school.

Engrossed in his deep thoughts, Jeon Taejun didn't noticed he had already entered a park until he kicked a rock and it flew and hit a tall post with the words Takarokaro Park engraved in a big, old wooden board. He shrugged and continued walking. He spotted a vacant swing and walked towards it. But as he was nearing it, a young girl about his age or maybe older got there before him. He watched as she sat on the swing, raising his eyebrow as she did so. He approached her and sat on the other swing on her side. "I saw that first, you know." He said, tilting his head on the direction of the swing the girl sat on.

Eilidh had spent the first five minutes of her arriving in the park just sitting on the swing and looking at what else this park had to offer, after all this was her first time in the park and she wanted to see what it had to offer her. Which she realised was actually quite a lot, the park had a number of good things on offer to her, she was definitely not limited in her choice of things which she could do once she'd grown bored of the swing she was on. Eilidh was smiling to herself as she sat on the swing, she was glad that she was here, at this kid's park and not at the boring dinner the rest of her family was at, well, that her parents were at, both her siblings were currently at school, so they couldn't exactly do anything of the sort. They were busy with what Eilidh was deeply desiring to do. The young girl honestly couldn't wait until she had gotten started, she could wait until she got to Hogwarts and was able to learn spells and all of that. There was so much that Eilidh wanted to see and do at the school, she honestly couldn't wait for it. It was just going to be in her mind, the most incredible experience and seven years of her life. She knew that she would do better than all of her other siblings. She would perfect being popular, brains and sports. She wanted to be at the very top, be the very best. Which was how she was at primary school, and the young girl knew she would continue this at Hogwarts, she expected nothing less of herself.

Eventually the girl settled more on the seat on the swing and slowly began to swing back and forth, using just her feet to be able to do so, she was building some momentum before she began employing her arms. She liked swings as a starting point in any park. She liked the way she felt when she was on one, and would've been blissfully happy in her peace on the swing had it not been for a male voice breaking her silence. Eilidh glanced at him just as he finished speaking, and gave him an are you kidding me look, he wanted to claim the swing she was currently sat on? Why would he need this swing of all the swings there were, and considering he was sitting in a swing next to hers it just made little sense as to why he would even mention such a thing, they were all the same weren't they? She glanced at the swing she was sat on, and then shook her head at him shaking it at the ridiculousness of the statement he'd made, "Well, I was sitting in it first," she said to him, "Guess that makes it mine," she told him with an added smirk, she began to swing a little more to emphasise her point. She glanced between the two swings, "They are exactly the same too, what does it matter which you got?" she added, feeling it necessary to tell him in a roundabout way that he was being ridiculous. Eilidh knew this wasn't perhaps the best way to make friends, but he was being silly, so she was reacting as such, as Ailsa, her older sister had always shown her to do.

Jeon Taejun wasn't exactly the world's most courteous kid. He was often referred to as without manners and cocky by his primary school classmates back in Seoul. He was quite aware that the allegations were, in fact, true. He knew his personality perfectly and didn't give a damn to what other people might label him. It’s one of the many reasons why he doesn't have any friends. He was wealthy in currency, yes, but he was poor in socialization. Although a loner, he liked to annoy and mess with people once in a while, and seeing this blonde girl in front of him made his mischievous mode tick on. It was one of those rare Taejun moments when he felt the need to create a hypothesis which involved interaction with someone and a conclusion after the conversation, if it was a success. He wanted to know what other people might think of him even if he doesn't care. He liked to experiment and he felt that the girl was exactly what he needed.

He observed the girl intently and made it as obvious as he could. He was tutting as he looked at the girl up, down and sideways. There was no reason for his tutting, to be honest. He just wanted to see if the girl would be annoyed with this. It was for the sake of his entertainment, really. The girl looked decent, he had to admit. Her features were fresh sights over the sea of traditional Asian back in his country. He guessed she was probably his age or maybe a year or two older. They were the same height, which annoyed Taejun slightly, although he knew that this was a result of early female growth compared to males. A mental smirk flashed across Taejun's thoughts as he saw the look the blonde gave him. He listened as she opened her small mouth and spoke in that girly voice. He chuckled at the girl's reply. She was indeed, right. But Taejun was in a mood for pointless arguments, anything to supply his loneliness and frustration over another debate his parents had. "Yeah, but I saw it first." He shrugged, as he raised both his eyebrows for a second. Taejun stood up, sideways and opened his legs. He slid one leg over the swing and sat down. He was now facing the girl. He started swinging mildly too as he listened to the sentence the girl added. He nodded after she did so. "They look the same, but this swing is not what I saw first." He smiled at her brightly and laughed.

It seemed to Eilidh that this boy wasn't so much interested in seeing her sense, seeing what she had to say about the matter, or how pointless it was, when he continued insisted that he'd seen it first, as if that meant that it was his in any way. This didn't work like that, this was a park, it didn't work like that, he couldn't just claim that something was his because he'd seen it first, "Yeah, but I sat in it first, so it doesn't matter if you saw it or not," She told him with a matter-of-fact tone, almost indicating that she didn't care if he'd seen it first, that she wouldn't have cared if he'd told everyone it was his, the important part was being sat it in. It didn't matter if the person wanted it, Eilidh was sitting in it, and that for the time being made it hers. If she decided to get up from it, then the boy could then take it. It could be his then, but for now, it was hers and considering his attitude she would wait as long as possible before giving it up. She watched as he shifted how he was sitting on the swing, but did not fall suit. Instead she just stared forward and continued to swing slightly, nothing too big, just a little.

She looked at him when he spoke again and just laughed slightly, he was being completely ridiculous. She was just finding it funny now, because there was no other way of describing it. She stopped her swing, "This is mine for now, you should get over it and just enjoy the fact you still are able to sit in a swing," Eilidh told him with a fairly light tone, as if she didn't honestly care what he did, because the swing that she was sitting in was hers and hers alone, well, until she gave it up because she had to leave. She looked at the boy, perhaps he was used to getting his way, "Do you usually get what you want?" she asked him, almost teasingly. Eilidh didn't know him in the slightest but he seemed like the kind of person who usually got what he wanted, that kind of spoiled kid who threw a tantrum when he didn't get his way, even if it was something so stupid and trivial much like the fact that he wanted the swing that she was sat on just because he'd seen it first.

Jeon Taejun was beginning to sense that the girl was starting to get annoyed. With the way her eyebrows scrunched when she listened to what Taejun had to say, he knew that she was having her weirded thoughts about him. This, in a way, entertained the young boy. A speculation that the girl might thought that he was ridiculous because of his insistency over such a pointless matter only brought a smirk upon the boy's pale lips. He knew that he held an argument that lacked significant purpose but that was what made it so fun. It was a weird habit that consistently brimmed inside his young mind once in a while, and unfortunately so, it was currently brimming. "Your ass may be on it, but my eyes had been in it first. Not literally." He even added a wink to further annoy the girl. He was waiting for the girl to explode, if ever she was the temperamental kind.

The girl's laugh made Taejun's eyebrow raise, just enough to make it perceptible. It seemed that the blond was even entertained by the boy's bogus argument. Taejun chuckled over his thoughts. The girl started to make a slight impression on him. But alas, he was a Jeon and he was steadfast. It was a bad habit that their family had. It was a usual starter over his parents' arguments. Truthfully, he hated how stubborn his appa usually was but he couldn't really make a comment, as he was like that often too. "I can't really enjoy it." Taejun started with another Taejun reply. He kept his reply brief as he expected the girl to ask why.

Jeon Taejun bit his lower lip as he thought deep of what the girl asked. 'Do I usually get what I want?' He asked himself. He thought of his parents, how their arguments made him believe that forever existed with it being endless. He thought of his eomma, saying 'yes' to everything that he asked for and providing everything that he wanted just to satisfy him. It was not because she was concerned with him, but because she wanted him to disappear out of her sight as quickly as possible. Providing him with every material thing that he wanted in a reasonable way was what his eomma and even his appa sometimes thought of whenever they felt him a nuisance. But going back to what the girl asked, he simply shook his head and shrugged. "Usually." He stared at the slide next to the swing, engrossed in his own deep thoughts. "But I wish it would be 'always'. Because if it would, then my paren-" He stopped in mid-sentence as he realized what he was about to say. He blinked and turn his attention back to the girl. "I... mean. Because if it would... Then I would have that slide now!" He replied, trying to sound smug.

eomma - mom
appa - dad

The girl shook her head at him, where was all of this coming from. What did it matter? She just looked down at the swing she was sitting on and then proceeded to once again shake her head at him. She didn't need to give it to him, and even less so now was she actually inclined to do that. Instead, Eilidh just shrugged at him, decided to just let him continue speaking, finding it funny that he was saying he couldn't enjoy the swing simply because it wasn't the right one. Eilidh smiled at him, and then got to her feet on the swing so she was stood on it. Using the strength in her arms to move the swing. She didn't often get what she wanted, she got it pretty often, her parents said no to her more often now than they had before something she attributed to the fact that by the time Eilidh had been born, their family had had a lot more money than before and they could afford to spoil Eilidh slightly more, but this was about the limit of it. She didn't think that it would ever include a swing. She didn't care so much about that, it was always about getting a new book, or getting the last slice of cake, never a swing.

As the boy then replied to her statement about his needing to get his own way she couldn't help byt find his wording a little bit peculiar. It wasn't necessarily that she'd be able to figure out what was odd about them, just that they did appear odd to her, not to mention that he managed to get it back to something better and less strange fairly quickly, so as Eilidh was but eleven, and therefore not completely in tune with the nuances of others she ignored it, instead focusing on his desire for the swing she was stood on. She looked at it, and then looked at his. There was really no way that she was moving now, not until she absolutely had to. Her mind was made about that fact, "You're just going to have to wait until I am done," she told him very matter of factly, not caring about what he wanted, or how often he got his way, she wouldn't back down and in her mind she imagined that neither would he, "Are you an only child then?"

Sorry for the delay, and for lameness. Others will be better, promise!
