Maddison walked into Brightstone village the way she always did, head held high, purse in hand and heels clacking with each step. As she reached the end of the cobbled walkway she delved into her purse and retrieved a compact mirror and a lipgloss. She applied the gloss with one swift move before poting slightly and snapping the compact shut. Maddy blinked as she looked around for Mia and Alice, but the cobbled street was near deserted. Maddy almost reached for her blackberry but shook her head before she did so. A cool breeze sent her hair flying as she wrapped her scarf around her neck a little tighter. "Come on" she said under her breath, waiting expectantly for her two best friends arrival.
Maddison hadn't had the easiest start at Hogwarts. Everything was so different, and she certainly wasn't grasping the classes. She hardly even turned up to most of them. The Slytherin lacked academic ambition, something her father was none too pleased about. But Maddy didn't care what he thought, as long as he kept sending her pocket money. Maddison stuck her nose up at the dirty Brightstone streets. She had become so used to the polished and glamorous streets of LA, that the streets of New Zealand seemed like common muck to her. But she waited patiently fo the arrival of her friends and even forced a small smile across her face as she did so. Hopefully they would arrive soon, so they could all get out of the cold.
