I'm all settled in, but I have some news. I got sorted into Gryffindor, I'm a little disappointed I can't lie, I hoped I was going to be a Ravenclaw like you were but so far its pretty cool, I've even made some friends who share my love of dragons, the miniature dragon you gave me has been a real hit.
Quidditch starts soon and its going to be strange to root against Ravenclaw but I'm a Lion now so I have to back my house. I'll let you know how the match goes.
I'm sorry this letter is so short, but I'm so overwhelmed with everything that I almost don't know what to say.
I know you were at home when I left but please let me know if you leave for work. I know knowing makes me worry but I'd rather that than ignorance.
