Letter Of The Week

[Taylor Mercer]

Taylor reached the Owlery, her head had remained down for the duration of her walk there. Clutched in her hand was a letter to her Mum and a seperate one for her Dad. The one to her Mum read.

Dear Mum,
School has been going well, first week has been interesting, although we havnt learnt much yet. I probably havnt made as many friends as i would have liked, but i have a reasonable amount. Everything is still settling. Everyone still getting used to school. Im sure things will get better soon. Spose i dont have alot to say really. How have you and the family been?

The one to her Dad, was the same, with Dear Dad replacing dear Mum. Taylor really couldnt be sure of how school felt yet. It was all so surreal. Taking slow steps, she found a school owl and pet it for a while, thinking over the last weeks events.
After a short while she attatched the letters to two seperate owls legs and watched them fly away.
