Yellow rose for @Jerara Tapsell

Maddy’s last rose made her a bit nervous, honestly. The head boy wasn’t really someone she wanted to come to the attention of, not with her proud disregard for the rules. On the other hand, she’d survived delivering one to Professor Styx last year, and that had been . . . kind of awesome, actually. He’d set it on fire, what a move! Anyway, Jerara couldn’t possibly be as scary as that. Maddy wandered into the student lounge, gently transferring Totara from her rose basket to her shoulder so the little dragon would let her have the rose, and spotted her target there. “Jerara? Hi! I have a rose for you!”

Jerara had several books in front of him, mostly NEWT related material, there was dwindling time to the end of the semester and he had to be focusing his studying. He was lost in his work until someone said his name. He frowned a little - who would send him a rose? But he nodded, "Oh, thanks," the head boy replied flashing a friendly enough smile and putting down the book he was reading. He leaned forward slightly and held out his hand to the girl so that he could take the rose from her.

Jerara seemed rather distracted by his study, which puzzled Maddy; if you had the opportunity to pay attention to something other than boring books for a while, why wouldn’t you take it fully? He didn’t seem to even have noticed the dragon on her shoulder. Nevertheless, she smiled happily at him and grabbed the rose and its accompanying note. “You’re very welcome! Here you go!”

Jerara,

You’re the only true friend I have. Thank you.

Jerara took the rose and the note, focusing more upon the note as he quickly opened and read it. So it was from Tristan. He gave a little smile to it, they'd have their fair share of problems but he'd always try to be loyal to his friend. He glanced back up at the girl that had delivered it and plastered a friendly enough smile, "Thank you," he hoped that it would indicate that he appreciated the rose, and her delivery of it, but that he didn't need her sticking around any longer. There was stuff he needed to do.
