H I S T O R Y O V E R V I E W

Lena was the second child born to Oliver Bennett and Sofia Loris on September 17, 2026. During her childhood, she spent a lot of time assisting in her parent’s apothecary, which introduced her to many herbs, plants, tinctures, and potions. Lena was very close to her father up until his death, as he taught her about sustainability and connecting with the earth. All of her siblings were homeschooled until they received their Hogwarts letter. Lena attended Hogwarts New Zealand from 2037-2044, where she was sorted into Ravenclaw. During her time, she was in multiple clubs and activities.

After graduation, Lena spent the next two years travelling and taking pictures of creatures as an independent contractor with some of her work being featured in Witch Weekly, The Daily Prophet in the UK and Japan, National Geographic, and The Wizard’s Voice in the US. After her father’s death from cancer in 2046, she took some time off from her photography and stayed with a friend in the United States. It was there she met her ex-husband (Henry Williams) in the United States in 2047. Henry is a muggleborn wizard, and while he enjoys the ability to use magic, he finds that it separates him from his family. He pursued internships at muggle zoos in the US after leaving school in his sixth year.

Lena and Henry were married on April 5, 2050, after they found out she was pregnant. Their first born, Charlotte, was born that October. The marriage wasn't necessarily at the right time in their relationship, which caused it to be strained from the beginning. They decided to settle down in his homeland of New Zealand and start an animal sanctuary for animals (and a few magical creatures like clabberts, diricrawls, and grindylows.) They rescued common pet and farm animals, and assisted in rehabilitating them so they could find new homes or be sent back into the wild. Previously, the farm was home to 26 animals (7 farm animals, 15 domestic pets, and 4 magical creatures). They would hold tours of the farm and “petting zoo hours” for smaller children interested in learning and handling the muggle animals. Lena managed an Instagram for her muggle animals with a relatively popular following.

In January of 2053, Lena took what she thought would be a temporary position teaching Arithmancy at Hogwarts New Zealand. However, after enjoying the extra income and work, they moved the family and farm closer to Brightstone Village so she could more easily commute to work. During this time, Henry and Lena's marriage started to grow even further apart. She began seeking emotional support elsewhere, having a fling with one of her female coworkers, before deciding to file for divorce. Within a few few weeks of filing, she found out she was pregnant. Nevertheless, they thought the separation was best, and Lena had their second child, Margot, in 2057. Henry decided to move back to the United States to work with the National Zoo in Washington D.C., and Lena has full custody of the girls. He has them certain holidays and when he comes back to stay with his parents. Lena currently lives with her mother, who helps with the girls, as she is saving money.
