As Alexis glanced around the harbour, she saw a world that was both wondrous, and extremely cruel. She had seen enough of the world to know that it was about time for something to go her way. Alexis would be going to Hogwarts soon, and she would need some friends to help her through that. Every time she tried to get close to someone, there was always something that made her go back into her shell. It wasn't shyness, it was just everything she had been through fighting against her intentions. People did bad things, and it was those things that made her unable to trust the world. For someone so young, she had already seen some things that she never wanted to see happen again. But most of all in this world, she wanted someone she could trust. One person she could call a friend, that wouldn't scare her and would comfort her when she needed it. Was that so much to ask?
