Lavinia is only used to receiving compliments from her parents and therefore has never worried much about her looks. She has grown up learning that appearance isn't everything, though sometimes she wonders whether she looks her best, depending on the circumstances and who she is surrounded by.

Lavinia is organised, always has been from a young age and this helps her not to forget or lose anything. Lavinia is also honest and she hates lying, because she knows it never goes well for her or anyone involved. This adds to her leadership skills as she doesn't believe that secrecy is a good thing. She is very active and eats healthy.

Practicality/Reality: Lavinia is a realist - she's ambitious, when she wants something she normally sets goals for herself in order to achieve it. She loves a challenge. She is level-headed, and doesn't believe in fairytales or fiction, she prefers knowing that reality is more valuable than fantasy. Lavinia likes to take initiative - so she acts instead of simply talking about doing it. She is rational and strategic, working methodically on a lot of things.


Weakest trait
Stubbornness: When Lavinia tries to help the people she cares about, she doesn't often think of the consequences. If they don't want her help she tries to do it anyway. On the contrary and ironically, if and when someone tries to help her, she tries to work it out herself, before she wants to let anyone else help her out. She can also be impulsive sometimes and the stubbornness doesn't help Lavinia think rationally when she's acting on impulse (which is rare, but still can happen).

SORTING HAT & HOUSE

Lavinia couldn't even speak as the group was led to a large room with four tables and a lot of students. Lavinia looked around her at the people in her own grade, those who would be sorted with her and she wondered who from this group she would befriend. She saw one or two familiar faces from the holidays or the train, but other than that the rest were strangers. Lavinia smiled, avoiding Athena and Sara who were probably just as excited as Lavinia herself that she was here. In fact, Lavinia didn't really want to meet their gazes or wave in case they made a big deal out of it. Really, she could see them later...they wouldn't be offended, right?

Oh of course, how silly - her surname was somewhere in the beginning of the alphabet and therefore the girl was one of the first people to be sorted. Lavinia didn't wait any longer as she walked up to the stool and sat down, waiting for the sorting hat to cover her eyes. However it didn't when it was put on her head - oh. So she must've been taller than she'd expected. Lavinia pursed her lips in concentration, she had promised herself that her thoughts wouldn't interrupt nor distract the sorting hat and its decision (was it male?) but she couldn't help but to think all the things she had to do as soon as they went up to the dorms. Lavinia was basically coming up with a list of things in her mind. Please not Slytherin, she thought. If there was one thing the girl learned was that in order to find your place in a school or society you had to be different from those around you, not seen as the same as somebody else. And that included cousins. Lavinia was determined to establish herself as her own person.
"Why not Slytherin? It's a perfectly fine house. Some of the greatest wizards have come from there. But you don't have to worry too much. Slytherin isn't the house for you. No, no, for you, there's something different. You belong in...Hufflepuff!"
