Lauren suffers from Bipolar disorder. She was diagnosed with type 2 in her third year at Hogwarts, when she was 13. She is coping with it still and is on mood stabilisers, however, sometimes her condition can get the better of her which results in her doing reckless and harmful things to either herself or other people. She left school at the end of her third year and taken to be home educated which, was thought, would be best for her.

Eye color: Green, when she smiles it looks like her eyes brighten. When she is angry or annoyed her eyes rapidly trun to a darker green.

Brief description : Muggle, 47 years old. Makes a living as an accountant. Lives in Wellington New Zealand with his wife and three children. He lived in Australia for the first ten years of his life and then moved to Mexico for another fifteen years learning Spanish from his Mexican relatives, he was soon fluent in it. There he volunteered in the poorest parts of Mexico, where he met Rose, his soon to be wife. He then moved to New Zealand with Rose to start his accountancy career. One established in his career he and Jane married and had their first child Lauren. Nine years later they had another daughter Erin. A further five years later they had a son Alfie.

Brief description: Muggle, 45 years old. Works as a journalist. Lives in Wellington New Zealand with her husband and three children. She lived in England for twenty two years and studied Journalism there. She volunteered to got to Mexico for two years to help out in the poorer areas there. She met William there who would be her future husband and they both moved to New Zealand which offered great career opportunities for the both of them. once established in her career she married William and had their first child Lauren. Within fourteen years they had a further two children, a girl and boy, Erin and Alfie.

Parents of William Gem. Archibald is a wizard and Sylvia is a muggle. The magic skipped a generation and now their grandchildren are magical, all three of them. They live in Australia and visit William regularly.

Parents of Rose Gem. They are both muggles and were reasonably well off so could afford to give Rose a good education. They live in England still and Rose visits them when she can.
