Caleb hadn't felt this restless in a long time. It felt like he had to constantly be in motion or he would collapse in on himself or spontaneously combust, he wasn't sure which. Ever since Valentine's Day he hadn't be able to stop thinking about what happened between him and Louis. A lot of ways it felt inevitable, as if it was something that was bound to happen one way or another, which was probably true. But if something was fated like that, why did the aftermath feel so strange? They had spend the rest of the night together before they had to part for curfew. Which wasn't something that Caleb took that seriously most of the time. He was used to avoiding consequences but so far his consequences had never involved his best friend. He knew he couldn't avoid Louis forever but he was going to try and keep it gong for a little longer though.

The weather wasn't exactly great for swimming. The sun was still bright in the sky but it wasn't as hot as it had been only weeks ago. But the shock of the cold water was exactly what he needed. Caleb dunked his head under the water and tried to hold his breath as long as he could before his lungs burned and he kicked his way to the surface. Gasping, he emerged an wiped the hair out of his face before moving to float on his back. He wasn't sure if he believed in the giant eel that supposedly lived in the lake but he wondered if he looked like a tasty treat floating there. At least if the eel ate him he wouldn't have to talk to Louis.

Valeria was making the last of the sunny weather. She knew that this wouldn't last and would end up turning quickly. The teen was enjoying the semester, she had charlie as a boyfriend who was fun. The OWLs were her biggest concern, but she wasn't sure it would be that bad. She was feeling pretty confident about it. The ravenclaw had come out to the water front and had put down a blanket on the grass, so she could enjoy the water and enjoy the warmth of the sun. She had brought books with her, and a little homework for her Arithmancy class that needed to be done. Val was sure she was alone, until suddenly someone emerged from the water. She glanced at the person, it was clearly a boy, and she was sure he seemed familiar, but she just ignored him and looked back at her books.

Caleb could feel the cold sinking deep into his bone and he knew it probably wouldn't be long before his lips turned blue. Reluctantly he made his way to the shore and noticed that he wasn't alone. It took him a moment until he recognized Valeria who was there reading a book. He couldn't tell if she was reading something for fun or for homework but he thought both were a waste of time usually. "Enjoying the show." he called out to her teasingly before shivering and rushing to put on his shirt he had left under a tree. "What are you reading anyways?"
