Kiera has always been a very positive person. She almost always had a smile on her face when she was growing up. Her household was loving, caring environment. She had very little disappointments in her childhood, most of which related around gymnastics and her mother. Kiera is also very stubborn and headstrong. She is determined to get what she wants and will go through anything to get it. It is hard to change her mind once she has it made up. Kiera is a friendly girl who makes friends easily. She didn't have many friends when she was younger because she spent all of her time training for gymnastics until she went to Hogwarts New Zealand. However, she goes out of her way to be nice to almost everyone. Kiera doesn't like it when people yell at her. She has a quick, fiery temper when pushed around. Kiera also has a strong sense of right and wrong. She rarely does anything she believes is wrong. However, no one is perfect and she has been known to make major mistakes due to her impulsive nature.
Kiera grew up in Georgia, as did her father. Her whole family has a thick southern accent that is easily recognizable. Kiera's father started noticing Kiera's abundant energy and enjoyment at jumping and flipping on the playground when she was only three. He recognized her natural talent and enrolled her in gymnastics. Kiera absolutely fell in love with the sport. She excelled at it and was sent to a national coach at the age of six to be put on the Olympic track. This meant homeschooling for Kiera, she never went to school with other children her age. Kiera had a happy childhood, the only thing unpleasant about it was that she didn't have a mother.
Kiera's mother had faked her death in a car accident when Kiera was two years old. She ran back to her family, ashamed of marrying a muggle. With her family's guidance, Jacqueline joined the ranks of the Scitorari. Kiera had no memory of her mother. No one in the family knew that they had magical blood in them. Kiera's mother was a pureblood and had not told Kiera's father about her magic. Kiera first learned of magic when her older brother, Cameron, got accepted to Durmstrang. Kiera's letter came two years later. She was ecstatic and couldn't wait to go learn about her magical powers.
During Kiera's school years, Kiera and her siblings were reunited with her mother. Bellatrix Green introduced the two of them, then Kiera introduced her sister and brother. All three children had different reactions. Kiera has an obvious distaste for her mother and how she handled their childhood. Her mother had seemingly changed. She married an Auror, Raziel Black, and had another child. She is the Transfiguration Professor at Hogwarts New Zealand.
Kiera found out much later in her life that she a half sister named Natalie Kingsley Reyes. Natalie's mother was also a witch. The Reyes' are also wizards/witches.
At Hogwarts, Kiera met Caysi Finnigan during their first year. They quickly became best friends and were completely inseparable. However, Caysi left school halfway through to go back to Scotland with her father. Kiera met Katalina Vanderhol, then Andromeda Fiorelli, then Cyndi Weasley. They all became the Dorm Room 4 girls, best friends that keep each other in check.
Kiera's love life has never been easy or simple. She fell in love with Link Black who was not good for her. He disappeared at various times without warning and without letting her know. They were on again, off again for about five years. Link was her first love and the one that she will never forget. Kiera always felt like she could save him, but he kept falling down, further and further into dark magic. She never gave up hope on him until death made it impossible for her to save him. During one of Link's unexplained absences, Kiera briefly dated Daniel Finnigan. They split after only a few months of dating. During Kiera's 6th year, she began dating Alex Cullen. They were good together. Alex brought out the less serious, less focused side of Kiera. At the end of the year, Kiera cheated on Alex with James Potter up on the North Tower. She immediately told Alex and begged for forgiveness. He gave it to her, and they got back together. James and Kiera agreed to be just friends.
During Kiera's seventh year at Hogwarts, there was a nasty Daily Prophet article about her, James Potter, and Alex Cullen. At the time it was written, it was completely untrue.
