[History] Katherine was born on the 5th of June 2023 to Isaac McVanough and Julia McVanough (née Eklund) in Falköping, Sweden. She was the youngest of their children, following up her older brother, Damien, and her sister, Lauren. All three of the children had magic in their blood and they grew up being in touch with a big part of the magical world. The family had lived in Sweden ever since they got their first child, but when Kath's grandfather died her parents decided they would move to New Zealand to help out her grandmother with all the things she had to sort out. Both of Kath siblings had already been accepted to Hogwarts Scotland and when they moved to New Zealand both of them had refused to transfer and would continue their study in Scotland. Kath was disappoited by the fact that she wouldn't be able to attend Hogwarts together with her siblings, but nonetheless she was very excited to go to school and meet all different kinds of new people.
[Basic Personality] Katherine is quite the adventurous type of person and she can very easily get into a lot of trouble, even if she didn't mean to cause any of it. It just seems to find her instead. She is a very confident person both in herself and in her opinions. She will often stand up for what she thinks is right, but will also admit it when in the end it turns out she had been wrong. Kath is a very trustworthy people and will often look to be friends with people who have earned her trust as well, therefore it can take some time before she will actually admit someone as her friend. Other than that she is a very kind and friendly person who loves to socialize and meet a lot of new people, but is also a bit clumsy.
