"HI THERE KATARIINA. COULD YOU TELL US WHAT YOUR REAL BIRTH NAME IS? WHAT NAME DO YOU USE?"
"My name is Katariina Vanhanen. My birth surname was probably Saksa, however due to it's uncertainty it was officially changed to that of Mr and Mrs Vanhanen. I tend to go by Katariina, or sometimes Katy depending on how I'm feeling and who I'm talking to."
"CAN YOU DESCRIBE YOUR APPEARANCE FOR THOSE LISTENING?"
"Well, I have shoulder length dark blonde hair, green eyes, & I'm about five foot eight. I weigh a pretty average amount, and I don't wear anything too outrageous (She laughs). I would like to think that it's my personality that allows me to stand out in a crowd, as that's something I've been working on since my school days."
"SO WHAT DO YOU THINK IS YOUR BEST PERSONALITY FEATURE?"
"I had a hard time in school really because I was known as the quiet kid. I would often be found by myself or hiding away from the other students. It wasn't until my fourth year that I really began to come out of my shell - And it was all to do with helping the other students. My passion lay with Herbology and Potions, and so when others needed my particular skill set it would be me they came to with their questions and I found I was needed in a medical environment."
"THAT'S GREAT! CAN YOU TELL US A LITTLE ABOUT YOUR BIRTH? WHEN WERE YOU BORN?"
"Eugh, this is a question I dredd! (Giggles) Since I was so young at the date of my adoption, my guardians presented me with a birth date fitting to the occasions they knew. According to Maritta, she had seen my pregnant mother, and one day sometime near the beginning of the year Maritta began to see my parents with me. So we say that my birthday is January 1st, and we have a new year celebration incorporating that."
"CAN YOU TELL US A LITTLE MORE ABOUT MARITTA?"
"Maritta is my adoptive mother. Aimo is her husband and my adoptive father. They were first neighbors of my parents. On the 12th February 2018, it was said that my parents wrapped me up in blankets and left me in the back garden of Maritta and Aimo's house. My adoptive parent's weren't very close to my birth parents, which makes us wonder whether they had been truly desperate to flee, however Maritta and Aimo have done a wonderful job raising me, and I couldn't ask any more of anyone."
