It was the holidays. And Briar was actually starting to feel properly good about herself for the first time in weeks. She had been to see a councilor at St mungoes who she had actually gotten on pretty well with. And she had gone and gotten another tattoo. A lion to go onto her other foot. To balance out the wolf, both of them represented two parts of her identity. The wolf covered up some of the bite scars from when she had been bitten by there werewolf which had made her one too, and the lion showed where she knew she would always belong a Gryffindor. There were both similar but different and she was happy with the way that they had turned out.
Today was a really warm sunny day in the stretch between Christmas and the new year. The time when most people spent with their family. Briar made her way down the main street of obsidian harbor enjoying the feeling of the sun on her face and the fresh ocean breeze I her hair. She had found a muggle bike at the school and asked the muggle studies professor if she could borrow it for the break. After a little while she had learned how to use it and today she had gotten up early and cycled to the harbor from the school, it had take her a while but she had gotten there, she hadn’t needed to aparate at all, though she may have to use magic to get back. Now it was around mid morning and the harbor was just starting to fill up with people. Briar let tentatively let go of the handlebars and when she was balanced spread her hands out wide. A large smile etched across her face. She was going to enjoy herself today, not dwell on what had happened this time last year. That she owed herself. She pulled up outside one of the shops and went in purchasing a drink and a sandwich filled with meat and salad. Hungary she bit into it sitting on one of the benches and watching the people as she felt the adrenaline leaving her system.

It's been ages since the last time the part-veela visited Obsidian Harbour, she wasn't sure when was it. The only thing she was sure that she needed to practice her apparation, in which for today she took a ride from her father. It was absolutely unlikely of her to agree but since she wasn't allowed to drive alone, Ashe had not other choice. Once they arrived, the girl said her goodbyes and went strolling the place. She wasn't sure why the h3ll is she here, maybe to do some shopping and to enjoy her somewhat break from school. Since she was given a huge amount of money to spend this holiday, and Christmas' fast approaching. Needless to say, Ashe somehow wanted to buy her parent and her brother a present just for the fun of spending her money. After that she can now spend the rest for herself, a new bag or necklace wouldn't hurt. Ashe then entered a shop nearby the corner to look for the perfect gift for her mother, maybe something antique or homemade. Though she isn't the type to make something for anyone at all, when she could just buy a new one. Wandering the small store, Ashe grew tired of looking that was until she saw a unique painting that will her parent's room. It could be shared by the two as a gift perhaps, she then approached the shop owner and bought the painting. Not sure how on h3ll will she even carry the thing. "Do you accept deliveries?" Ashe asked the old lady. Luckily, they do offer deliveries. Once she took her receipt, Ashe gave their address and left the store with her lips pursed.

For some reason Ashe never liked warm weathers, she was used to the gloomy and cold weather back in London. Nor did she liked the sunlight touching her skin, it made her irritated. Even though it gave her the perfect veela glow, she didn't care. There was just something about the sun that she hated, she's rather be in the rain or be in a cloudy place. She hissed for a while then continued or searching for a girl for her brother, in which she has no idea what to buy. The fact that he almost has everything he could wish for, well maybe a new girlfriend to settle with or something. Ashe sighed as she passed by two stored that didn't have anything she was looking for. It would be a long day for the girl to find the thing she want to give to her brother. After wandering Obsidian Harbour, Ashe decided to take a break and perhaps have a snack somewhere. She entered a small cafe and munch on some homemade sandwich and an iced coffee. Once she was done, Ashe was back on the streets, continuing her stroll. By the time she felt her slender legs ache because of tiredness, she noticed a girl sitting on the benches. With her iced coffee half full, Ashe then decided to take a sit beside the stranger, ignoring her presence. She took a sip of her drink and secretly glared at the people smiling as they walked in front of her.

Briar was chewing on her sandwich and wondering what she would do with her day. she was clad to be out of the castle and free to do what she wanted. but the only problem was she wasn't sure what se wanted to do. she watched the people and the boats on the harbour for a few minutes her thoughts turning bak to last summer when she had been on one of the boats. however she tried to quickly move them away, Dederick had messed her up enough already. she was glad when a girl cam and sat besides her. she waited a moment as she chewed a particularly large mouthful. the girl seemed to be glaring at the world. briar looked waited a moment to see if she was going to say anything or if someone was going to join her. however people passed but no one else took a seat.
Briar swallowed glad that the girl had sat on her left hand side, the side without the scars on the face. she turned her head slightly so that she was looking at the girl properly but not showing her right cheek. "waiting for anyone?" she asked the girl. she needed something to move her mind to the present not the previous year. and with her sister in america she had a lot of time on her own, she had even considered apparating over there, but wasn't sure where abouts she was and she knew america was a large place.

Ashe grew tired glaring at the strangers, so sighed in exchange. She grew more annoyed at the hot weather, since summer's her hatred season of the year. As she was about to flexed her muscles, Ashe noticed the girl beside her. She was somehow near to her age but seemingly she looked hideous for teenager. As if she haven't combed her hair in a million years, along with her flashy bright colored top. That just so happened to be yellow, the same shade of color she's wearing. She grew irritated more at this very day, after a long walk the least thing she needed is to be furious. Ashe took a deep sigh and continued to ignore the girl that was until she noticed the girl murmur something. The fifth year isn't in the mood to talk to anyone, but she couldn't help herself from getting to know strangers. Since they might be handy in the near future, instead of saying anything.

The part-veela decided to shake her head in disagreement, there was no use to waste her voice for anyone unknown. She took a simple glance at the girl, noticing she was acting somehow different. As if she's hiding something behind her face or anything like that. It wasn't her business or anything but she wondered if the stranger's dangerous, perhaps not. Though if she was wearing something less vibrant, Ashe would have thought her to be a hobo with her bright orange hair messed up. Still it was too early for her to jusge her, she then crossed her legs. Exposing a few skin of her as her dress is a bit shorter than the usual. Ashe took a sip of her iced coffee, as slowly the ice starting to melt one by one.

Briar thought that the girl seemed to be in a bad mod about something. everyone seemed to be in a bad mood now adays. what was there to be in a bad mood for? the sun was out and the weather warm. It was the holidays, wasn't that enough for anyone at school to be happy about. she herself was half way throught her final year of the school, and was just about managing to fix herself up after the events of the term. she lifted her hand to her arm where her recent bite was, and she was glad to feel that other than a slight dip where her own teeth had penetrated the skin. it still looked quite highly scared, with lighter ones covering the rest of her arm and the rest of her skin was too.
Just then a gust of wind gushed down the street and caugght the paper bag that her roll had been in. as well as knocking over the bike. springing up briar tore after it. about 50 meters down the street she managed to catch it. her reflexes were fast, and due to her quidditch she managed to catch it mid air. she then jogged back to the bench to where the bike was. picking it up she leaned it back against the edge of the bench before sitting back down. "that came out of no where. don't you think?" she said, not really to the girl, but not to anyone else either.

The weather was starting to pissed off Ashe, she never understood why on h3ll was she her sitting on a bench in the middle of a hot day. To add it all together, a stranger seems to be talking to her that Ashe keeps on ignoring. There was nothing wrong with new people, it was just the weather seems to give her a hot mood. She figured it wasn't wrong to to entertain the girl, taking a deep breath and later exhaling it the blonde looked at the girl beside her. She didn't looked like the typical witch Ashe would befriend or even talk to but other than that she wanted to give her a chance. Just then the wind blew making her dirty blonde hair follow through, for the past few days Ashe wondered if she could cut her hair short rather than letting it grow longer, though she still was in the state of deciding. Before anything happens, Ashe gazed at the girl once trying to figure out her motive. It seems likes she was her to enjoy the weather than she dreaded the most, and in which her iced coffee seems to be getting warm. The student sighed a bit, wondering where was the nearest trashcan. She didn't want to drink her coffee hot today, that's why she ordered a iced coffee not the ordinary hot one.

"Hey, sorry about.... she trailed off trying to pick up some words and say it to the stranger, thought there was no reason to explain herself to her, really. "I just hate the weather, this kind of weather." Ashe stated taking out her handkerchief and wiping her sweat off her forehead. Another thing that she hates is getting sweaty and sweat itself, the feeling of being sticky and wet just grosses her out. The fact that she was used to the cold and gloomy weather in London. In which she decided to just visit hot places during a vacation, where it involves swimming and the like. Ashe then noticed a trash can a few steps away from her, she kept her gaze and threw the plastic cup straight into the hole. In which she did, it instantly went inside. After that she wiped more sweat away from her nose and waited for the stranger to talk again.
