Eden was sitting on a bench next to Lilith her knees where hurting but not as bad as her heart. Tears where pouring from her eyes. She could not think. Could not breath. Could not even start to figure out what she was going to do without Chase. Looking into her sisters eyes. Eden just kept crying. "O Lilith this is all my fault. I don't know what I was thinking. I'm so stupid. I love Chase so much how am I going to live without him? I can't I just can't Lili." Eden sobbed harder. It felt like her life was over and there was nothing she could do to fix it.
 
Lilith sat there holding her older sister for the first time in her life. It was only Eden that was the strong one. Lilith was the one that was always being told that it would all get better. Looking into her sisters green eyes and seeing the pain that was there broke Lilith's heart. "I know it seems like the end of the world but I promise that it will all get better. Maybe not right away but it all will I promise." Lilith wished she knew what to do but she did not this was going to have to work its self out on its own. Maybe Eden would be able to get over Chase if not than Lilith was unsure what kind of person Eden would become.
 
Chase watched the two of them talking about him, and how much Eden regretted doing what she had, she should have known it would have ended like this, but he still couldn't bear to see her cry. Chase wouldn't go over to them and forgive her straight away, he knew better then to do something like that, cause it would only have ended as badly as earlier today had. Chase sighed quietly, and climbed into a nearby tree, so that they wouldn't know he was there, "You shouldn't have done it, you know, Eden, but I could see it all on your face when you were talking to me, Eden, Tohoru is still a part of your life. And I can't be a part of it as long as you have feelings for him." Chase said, sitting down in the tree above them.
 
Eden continued to cry. "I was so stupid. This is because of Tohoru I hate him. If he would just leave me alone that I could forget about him and be happy with Chase but no he is freaking everywhere. Chase is the most important thing to me. I would do anything to have him back." Eden cried harder. She could not breath but somehow she managed to keep crying.
 
Lilith just sat there helpless. "I don't know what to tell you. Tohoru is a pain and he cause's so many problems. The next time we see him we will take care of him, but you may have lost Chase and you have no one to blame but yourself." Lilith knew she was sounding harsh but she would never do anything to cause her and Alex to break up and that was where they where different. Lilith knew what she had Eden knew what she had lost but only after it was to late.
 
Chase growled as they mentioned Tohoru, and couldn't help but wonder why they had even ignored him, he hopped out of the tree and landed behind the two of them, wondering why they were even talking about Tohoru at all, Eden should have known that merely talking about him would make Chase angry, and he was angry enough as it was. Chase sighed, "You two done talking about Tohoru, so that we can talk about something else? Or would you like to ignore me some more? I've only been here for about 10 or so minutes, listening to the two of you." Chase said, moving to other near the tree so that Eden wouldn't get any immediate ideas and make assumptions about what Chase was feeling, he was nowhere near forgiving her, and that was how it would stay.
 
Eden saw Chase and it was like her heart was breaking all over again. Falling against her sister. Eden sobbed harder. It was like getting slapped in the face over and over again. What was she supposed to say at a time like this. "I'm sorry.' Was all Eden could manage. Eden felt herself start to fall sideways as she fall off the bench and onto the ground. Laying there in the dirt Eden layed there she could not move it was so hard for her. Just breathing was taking a lot of work. Trying to tell Chase what she was feeling was going to kill her.
 
Lilith almost screamed when Chase came out of the tree. "You know you could have made yourself known. We where talking about him because his following Eden around all the time his taken a toll on her, but you never see it because she is always hiding it. Working a job and doing school work and planning a wedding that is now off. Just look at her shes broken if you have never seen a person at there lowest than take a good look because her is a prime example." Lilith stood up so that she could get on the ground and put Eden's head in her lap. Gently brushing the hair out of her face. Lilith shook her head. She had never seen Eden so broken down in her life.
 
Chase watched Eden fall of the chair and his heart nearly missed a beat, he hadn't expected anything like this to happen, and if he had none his presence would have done it he would have stayed away, he didn't want her to be like this, and he couldn't bear to see it happen, he ran over to Eden and knocked Lilith out of the way, catching her head before it hit the ground, "Eden, how could you let this happen in the first place? If I had known you would have ended up like this I never would have walked away." He said, shaking his head at her. He took her hand in his and shook his head again, scowling.
 
Eden laid there. Tears pouring from her eyes. She could not talk. Chase just being there hurt her but healed her. Keeping her eyes closed. Eden thought about when she was a little girl and she would get hurt at the playground. How she would get hurt she could go to her mother and she would sooth her and make her feel better. Haruhi did that for her as well but her and now she was on her own. Her heart was broken and the only person who could mend it was her.
 
Lilith wanted to scream and and punch and just put Chase in as much pain as she could. "How could you not know this would happen? You know all Eden does for you. You could at least give something back." Lilith knew just how much Eden loved Chase the prof was on her back not that Lilith would tell Eden's secret but it was there.
 
Chase raised an eyebrow at Lilith, "Butt out, you, don't think I wont stun you. This is between Eden and I. Just because you're dating my brother doesn't give you the right to butt into matters which don't concern you." Chase said, angrily, he returned his gaze to Eden, shaking his head at her, "Eden, oh Eden, you know I love you, but how could you let yourself get angry at me like that?" He asked, pulling her up and holding her close to him tightly, she would not get away from him again, and this time she could yell at him all she wanted, and he would stand there and listen, and wait for her to finish before running over and hugging her.
 
Eden could not breath. She wanted to scream and yell and hit him. "Do not talk to my sister like that. I show your brother with respect you will do the same for my sister." Eden forced herself to stop crying it would do her no good. Forcing herself to be composed. "I don't think you understand half of what I have done for you or what I would do for you. I love you more than life it's self. I have given up my freedom to be with you." Before she could stop herself Eden pulled herself out of Chase's arms, and put her back to him. Reaching over Eden pulled down the back of her shirt so that he could see the L that was now burned into her back. "In case you don't know what that means. Its the mark of Luxen. I'm one of his faithful servants."
 
Lilith was going smack Chase very hard if he did not shut up. How dare he say anything to her after what he had done to Eden? Standing up Lilith picked up her bag and looked Chase in the eye. "You know what fine. It's not like I wanted to be here any which way hearing Eden crying for a jerk. I am leaving to spend time with Alex and not some self centered jerk off who thinks that just because he is a big bad Death Eater he can act how ever he wants. Well I have something to tell you. I don't care who you are. With out Eden you would be nothing." With out evening saying good bye Lilith stormed off.
 
Chase watched Lilith storm off, and sighed, he knew he shouldn't have said what he did, but it was too late now. He returned his gaze to Eden, and stood back up, sitting down on the bench near him. He eyed the L on Edens back and sighed, "You didn't have to do that, you know. Anything Luxen said or did while you were with him would have been a lie. He isn't all powerful, and he is capable of trickery, you of all people should have realised that." Chase said.

He hated to admit it but Lilith was right, he probably would have been nothing without Eden, it had been nothing before he had Eden, but at least now he was without Eden he actually had a life he would live. Though he would try and make things right with Eden before he did anything else, whatever that involved, he would do it with Eden, and he wouldn't have it any other way, he knew she loved him, but just couldn't decide what she wanted right now.

Chase sighed slightly, before walking back over to Eden and sitting down beside her, trying to think of how he would place his words, and whether or not she would even forgive him for ever doubting her, he knew she would, in his mind he thought it would take a while for her to do so though, "I'm sorry, Eden, I shouldn't have left you there, I shouldn't have stormed off, and I shouldn't have let you hurt yourself." He said, hoping she would forgive him.
 
Eden looked at Chase. "You where not there with me when I ran into Luxen. It was that or death and you would have had to live without me and I could not accept that." Eden watched as Lilith left she felt so bad that her sister was upset but there was nothing she could do about that right at that moment.

Leaning against Chase, Eden did not relax into him. She felt wrong doing this because she was not sure what was going on with them right now and she did not want to seem like she was using him. All she wanted to do was hold him tight and tell him how sorry she was. All Eden wanted to do was take back every hurtful thing she had ever said.

Eden shook her head. "It is I who am sorry. I should have tried to talk to you about what I was feeling instead of just lashing out at you. It is just the pressure of everything has been building up and I don't get to see you as much as I would like. I want you to know I really love you and I want to fix this. That is if you want to fix this." Eden hopped that he wanted to make this work if not Eden would be lost.
 
Chase sighed at her, he listened to her apologize and wanted to slap her, "Stop trying to take the blame away from me, you may have yelled at me, but I walked off leaving you alone, and didn't even bother to help you when you tripped over." He said, shaking his head at her, she would never learn to just let Chase do what he wanted it, if he wanted to take the blame for something then he would do so, and he wouldn't even let the other party take a shred of it.

Chase smiled at Eden, "But, other then that, I'll forgive you as long as you forgive me, those mere minutes without you seemed like years, and watching you trip over and nearly tear your legs apart nearly killed me. You should know better then to do something like that." He said, shaking his head, he had nearly had a heart attack while watching that happen, but he had forced himself to remain calm in order to not give away his feelings.
 
Eden felt a smile cross her face. "It is partly my fault as well but if you want to take the blame than go for it." Eden would give in ut she knew the truth and nothing could change that. Looking down at her jeans Eden shook her head. "How I of all people managed to trip is still a mystery to me. The last time I checked I could run in a pair of high heels and not even slip."

Looking at Chase with the look that was only for him Eden felt better. "I forgive you, I just want to forget what happened. The thought of not having you made me so sick I thought I was going to die. It was the worst time of my life. Falling did not even hurt me as bad as losing you did."
 
Chase shook his head at her and placed his arm around her, sighing deeply, wondering what could have possibly led to us, a few minutes ago Chase had been all for prolonging her suffering, and now he was sitting next to her with his arm around her, what in the world was he thinking, he must have gone insane, what else could have possibly happened there. Chase wondered if he had gone insane, and whether or not he would ever have to pay for anything he had done to Eden, and just hoped that everyone would forgive him for what he had done to her, and whether or not anybody but he and Lilith knew. Chase looked over at Eden and saw the look that only he ever got on her face, and reflected the look with one only she ever got, a special look, only for her. "I love you." He whispered, kissing her softly.
 
Eden wanted to know what Chase was thinking but figured that it would be best if she did not press it for right now. Eden leaned into Chase a little bit but not to much things where still very out there for them or so Eden thought. Eden could feel her back hurting just a little bit. But there was nothing she could do about that. She would have that mark for the rest of her life. It was a small price to pay for being able to be with the one she loved. "I love you to." Eden whispered back as she gently kissed Chase back.
 
Chase felt elated when Eden kissed him, and couldn't have remembered a better moment in the hours that had been them apart, he hadn't felt whole without her, and without her in his life, he didn't think he would have been able to last long without her, and he would have tried to see her some way to make it up to her, he loved her, and he wouldn't let her forget it anymore. He drew a small necklace out of his pocket, and handed it to Eden, "Here's the proof I love you." He said, smiling.
 
Eden was flying once more this time higher than ever before. Chase's kisses where heaven before but now it was on a whole other level. How could Eden ever think about living without Chase? Of course she would never do something so stupid such as give Chase up. Looking at the necklace that Chase pulled out. Edens heart stopped it was the same color as his eyes. "O Chase it is lovely thank you. So perfect." Eden put the necklace and touched it lightly.
