June has always been strong willed. As a baby she'd scream her lungs out and as she grew up she'd often throw tantrums if she didn't get her way, not because she was spoiled but because she felt she rarely got her way and never knew what to do with the big feelings that came with those disappointments. Even today she struggles to contain the highs and lows of her emotions, especially when compared to her much more graceful sister. She loves to be a bit of a contrarian and will love things just because other people don't or do things just because people say she shouldn't. She's not particularly brave but her desire to prove others wrong usually out weighs any fear she has. June is not afraid to speak her mind even it might ruffle some feathers, sometimes she welcomes it. In her never ending search for ways to stand apart from her sister, she has developed a strong passion for making clothing and customizing things she already owns, by embroidering or adding beads or pins or just about anything she can manage. She was taught most of her crafting by her grandmother who makes the costumes for her family's theater company, which is also a big inspiration for June.

June was born in Ireland to her parents Wesley and Sabrina and is the youngest in her family. Her parents met while attending Hogwarts Scotland. After they finished school they lived in London for a while so Sabrina could pursue an acting career in the theater. She comes from a long line of actors and grew up in her family's theater company herself. But when she got pregnant she decided to retire to the country and live on Wesley's family farm to raise their children. June grew up with her older sister January, surrounded by her fraternal grandparents, her aunts, and cousin Bellamy.
Growing up she constantly trailed behind her different family members, always wanting to be involved with the day to day activies on the farm but was usually brushed off for being too small and unable to really do anything helpful. June and her sister were mostly homeschooled by their mother but sometimes spent time with local kids, including putting on plays that their mother would direct. But her idyllic childhood came to an abrupt end when her parents made the decision to move to New Zealand to be closer to her mother's family. June cried for days and swore never to forgive her parents for doing this too her. But once she was settled in New Zealand she bonded quite quickly with her maternal grandmother who taught her to sew and knit, along with several other crafts. She was heartbroken but would never admit it when her sister left for school, and is secretly relieved to be going to Hogwarts too.
