This was it. It was Benji's turn to go shopping for a couple of his school supplies. He had seen each of his siblings get excited once they had received their letters informing them that they had been accepted into Hogwarts with a supply list attached and now it was his time. Benjamin and his mother had eaten breakfast together and then they planned to visit Brightstone just before lunch.

Benjamin was starting to get tired after only a couple of shops so his mother had decided to grab them a couple of snacks to keep him upbeat. While he waited for her to return he sat down and leaned against a wall. It wasn't long before he was joined by a little someone. Benji turned his head and saw a little cat weaving in and out of his legs. He grinned and began to stroke the tabby absentmindedly as he looked out for his mother to return.

Sage had watched on in envy for years as her older sisters went off to Hogwarts. For a time she had thought that she would be like her parents and not be a witch, which would have been heartbreaking. Thankfully Sage had found herself levitating her stuffed animals one morning and she knew she would follow her siblings to Hogwarts. Sage was a little sad that both her sisters would be gone from the school by the time she started, it would have been nice to have spent time with them. She hadn't seen Victoria for over a year since they got the news she had bolted from the train platform and was playing Quidditch in England. Olivia would at least still be in the country.

Shopping for school supplies was something Sage had long been looking forward to and she was fortunate enough that Olivia volunteered to take her rather than her parents. Her older sister was happy to let the girl wonder off on her own while she went to see a friend. Sage loved having the freedom of Obsidian harbour, she could go into shops and spend as much time in each as she wanted. She had spent a lot of time in the quill shop, bought more quills than she needed in a variety of colours, shapes, and bird of origin. Not to mention all the ink. Sage made her way out of the shop with a bag rattling in her hand. She was in the process of deciding where to go next when she spotted a boy stroking a cat. The boy seemed to be about her age and the cat was adorable so it seemed silly not to approach. "Is she yours?" She asked, though not too sure the cat was female.

Benjamin looked up at the voice who asked if the cat was his. He saw a girl who looked around his own age with the most beautiful curly hair. He grinned "unfortunately not. I would love to take his one home with me though" he replied while scratching the cat behind the ears. "We have a couple of cats at home, more when my brother and sisters come back form school. I can't wait to get my own cat to take to Hogwarts" he said thinking about what type of cat he might want. "Do you have any pets?" he asked the girl, wondering if she was an animal lover like himself. "Oh and do you want to sit?" he asked, tapping the ground next to him "i'm waiting for my mother but she's been gone a while" he explained to her.
