Not getting on to the team for the second year in a row had been a bit of a blow for Fraser. He had known in his heart at the try-out that he wasn't going to make the team, there were too many other people, he was too young. Just nothing would've worked in his favour for it, but he had wanted to, needed to, try out for it. He wanted to be a quidditch player like his dad or like Aunt Liusaidh, or Uncle Rory, and all of them had made the team quickly enough. He might not be in fourth or fifth year before he was able to actually play, which...might be the time he needed to actually become good enough to be a professional player. Sure, Senna had been talking about a quidditch club, but it just wouldn't be the same.

Fraser had known, there had always been a chance it took him a while to make the team, and he was still only a second year. He had come out to the lake, it was a cold morning, not many people would come outside, but Fraser was used to the cold. He had grabbed an old copy of a school yearbook and was trying to not think about the try-out while into if there was anything else he could do. Anything else that he could fill his time in case quidditch just didn't work out, but it was hard, Fraser didn't think he had any other skills, certainly nothing school related.
