The alley was dark and there was moister in the air even though it had not rained in nearly two weeks. Riley walked slowly through Bleak Street. This was not the sort of place that one usually saw Riley but fr some reason today he felt like a change in scene and for another odd reason his idea of a change in scene was a place that he used to hang around when he had gone through that dark patch which he had killed a man. A death eater for that matter. Not the sort of person you should kill unless you want the wrong sort of people in your back but luckily for him that was all in the past an no one knew it was him so he was safe and all there was to do now was move on and forget it ever happened, which should be easy for this charmer to do as he had already more or less forgotten it. People say you never forget your first kill. Well Riley now knew that was a load of rubbish.
As he continued to walk he looked up at the cloudy sky. There were no stars tonight, no moon, no night sky, just cloud. It wasnt the sort of night that Riley liked. He liked the nights where there was not a cloud in sight and he could lye on the grass with Adele and look up at the stars with her. They were the memories that he would be telling Lowan when he was a little older. Turning his attention back to the pathway ahead he noted that there was an empty bench not too far in front of him. Although he knew not to hang around here, he knew how to look after himself and not everyone around here would be looking for a fight with someone who would be minding their own business. Not everyone was like his big brother.
Making his way over to the empty bench Riley ran his hand through his hair with a sigh and sat down slowly. He was tired tonight and would probably head home soon and get to bed. He knew that Adele would want to go to sleep in the day while he took his turn at baby sitting. It was only fair. Adele do the night shift and he do the day shift. Although Riley had to hand it to Lowan, he was a good sleeper and he didnt cry much which made it all good in his opinion. The boy couldnt help but smile when he thought about his new family, he smiled when ever he thought about them. He loved the both of them and would protect them with his life. Riley sat back and sighed happily
