Mikael had sent William on ahead to warn the nurse or inform a professor while he ran to the Hospital Wing, an unconscious Ayre on his back. A Featherlight spell had been cast on the unconscious Slytherin, and while Mikael hardly actually cared about the girl's survival, he was well aware of how appearances were important. And the appearance he needed to project now was a frantic Slytherin prefect who'd caused what could be a fatal accident. So yes, he had run from the Duelling Chamber to the Hospital Wing, a hint—just a hint—of distress on his usual calm facade. It wouldn't do to overdo it, after all. Just allow a crack in the mask. He was not known to be emotional in school after all. All the up and down the stairs with Elio in the last two years had paid off, and he'd managed to make it to the Hospital Wing in record time. He didn't even bother with coming in gently; he just slammed his body against the doors to open them. "Help," he croaked out because he was out of breath and supposedly distressed. If William had done his job right, the nurse would be ready.

Isabella Haden was having a relatively normal day until a young Gryffindor gave her a warning that there was a student on their way up with another unconscious student. The Slytherin eventually made it up here and seemed to be a little out of breath, but her eyebrows furrowed. She pointed to one of the empty beds, "Here, put her here." Isabella had everything ready, but the thing was... Why this happened to begin with. "What happened?"

Mikael didn't even hesitate in bringing Morrie over to the bed. He maneuvered her around since he'd carried her on his back and carefully lowered her onto the bed as the nurse directed. He wasn't surprised when she'd asked what happened. Anyone would. "A snake," he said, moving quickly to unwrap the makeshift bandage—fabric cut from his own robes—around the girl's injured arm before stepping away, running a hand through his hair. "I... It was an accident," The hesitation came easily. It wasn't a lie after all. He was a student who didn't want to admit he'd done anything wrong. Hesitant about the consequences.

Mikael glanced at the figure on the bed and conjured up an image of his sister on the bed. It was difficult, but that was okay, admitting one's fault was not supposed to be easy. "It was my fault," he said, gritting his teeth. And then a breath, swallowing as if trying to bury the shame. "I was practicing wandless magic, and I wasn't paying attention. I didn't think anyone would be around this early," he explained, as he watched the nurse work. "I told her not to move and I tried to vanish it as fast as I could," and trailed off, fist clenched at his sides. He wasn't meant to be blameless. No. That would have been too suspicious— would raise too many questions. An accident—one that could've happened to anyone. One that could have easily had him on the bed too.
