Lucie was happy to be back for another year at Hogwarts. She hoped to do better in her studies this year as not every subject had perfect grades for her and she really wanted to change that. The Slytherin needed to read ahead on some things before her classes started, and so wanting to find a quiet place to skim her textbooks, Lucie made her way all the way up to the North Tower, hoping that it would be somewhat quiet with most people busy catching up with their friends after the break. She barely made her way up to the towers other than for her Astronomy classes, but there was something about it that made it seem like it was a good place to be, and like it was a good place to soak in some information without worrying about people disturbing her. The library was boring, and people for sure would disturb her there. She was glad to not come across anyone walking up to the towers, and when she made it there, she sat with her back against a wall in the corner before taking out a Herbology textbook, flicking through the pages so she could see what she had in store for the subject this semester.

Valeria had a very important letter for her parents. She was replying to their first letter and keeping them up to date with everything that had happened and to make sure she was asking for all the things she now needed, like a costume, and an outfit for the yuleball, and perhaps something for the valentines day stuff. None of her dresses were fancy enough for the latter events and she had never been to a halloween thing before, and wanted to make a good impression. The Ravenclaw was a little lost though, she'd not yet managed to find her way to the owlery. She was almost there, she knew she was in the right area, but hadn't quite found it. She got a door, and from the distinct lack of bird smell and noise, she knew that she was probably wrong, but tried anyway. The room itself was more bare but there was a girl sitting in the corner, "Hi, sorry," she greeted with a friendly but apologetic tone. "I'm looking for the owlery, but this obviously isn't it, can you tell me where it is?"

Lucie looked up as she heard someone enter the room. She was a little annoyed, but she could handle it as long as the people weren't purposely annoying. It was simply a girl looking for the owlery. "Are you new?" she asked, wondering why she didn't know where that was. She seemed too old to be a first year and Lucie wondered where she came from. She couldn't help but be a little nosy. After all, she didn't think people would be sending letters to their families so soon into the year, unless there was something really important that they needed to tell them.

Valeria nodded with a little smile at the girl's question. "I am, just transfered in," she moved into the room and walked over to the girl with her hand outstretched. "I'm Valeria, third year, Ravenclaw," she introduced. Val had never met so many people, never run into so many people. Had never been introduced to so many people. She'd always been around the same people, always the same tutors, but she was enjoying meeting all of these people. "The Owlery?" she repeated holding up her letter.
