Mum and Dad,

I've been sorted into Hufflepuff!

Even though it's only my first night here, Hogwarts is everything I read about and more. I got to see the ceiling of stars I read so much about. Scorpius and Sagittarius where in plain view just like your journals said they would be! The castle is huge and my common room is already starting to feel like a home which makes me feel less scared about leaving my home with you guys behind!

The older students and my head of house seem really nice and I feel like they would help me if asked, which will happen all the time knowing me! I definitely don't know my way around, so one of the first things I will ask them tomorrow is where I can find my classes. It would be silly to have myself getting lost on the official first day of the rest of my life!

Can't wait to hear from you soon and be reminded of everything I'm missing!

Mum and Dad,

It's December! Exams are about to begin, and Christmas is getting closer by the day!

I've had an AMAZING first semester. We grew pumpkins in herbology for the Halloween feast, in history of magic we learned a bunch of cool things, and I had flying lessons! I know how to fly on a real broomstick now! I'm a step away from being in the sports section of the paper you always leave in the bin!

I've learned a few charms, too! They're really handy when I'm exploring the castle. Using Lumos at night makes it easier for me to sneak outside and look to the stars!

Oh, while I've been here, I've also made a bunch of new friends! They're really nice and I'm happy to always have someone to talk to!

I figured you were still too busy to respond to my last letter, so I can't wait to tell you all about my first semester (and more!!) when I return home! Christmas is getting closer but what's even closer is catching the train back and seeing you guys!
