Andromeda walked through the packed streets of Brightstone with only one destination now in mind and that was to finally meet Crispin face to face. Her heart was painfully sore, heavier than it had ever been and with just cause. All morning long she had fought the tears that threatened, hurt and wounded by her own actions. Guilt ridden and finally ready to suffer the consequences. She had already taken the easy way out, the stupid way out and had sent ahead the promise ring and bracelet that had once been his mothers. As much as it had broken her heart to do that, she knew that living a lie was harder. Crispin deserved better, she had become nothing more than the animal she was.

Arriving at his building she pushed open the front door and went up the flights of stairs to where his flat was situated. A deep breath, a hand held poised at the door and suddenly she was turning away ready to walk down the stairs and run for cover again. But she faltered, what type of Gryffindor was she? What type of girlfriend had she turned out to be? She was the scum of the earth and knew it what she did not want was for Crispin to know it. Looking into his eyes and seeing the love for her diminish slowly would break her completely but it was all she deserved. Her hand knocked and she waited, but no answer. Knocking again she realized he must be at work still and though plenty of times before this had aggravated her, enough for her to seek solace at the bottom of a bottle and in the arms of another not once but twice, she marveled at the irony that she was happy to wait patiently for him now. Why could she not have been patient before? Why did she grab happiness with one hand and throw it away with the other?

Bending down she reached under the mat for the key and unlocked the door, then taking out her wand undid the magical lock as well on it. Entering his home, a home she had helped create she shuddered as she closed the door behind her. It was as if she were an intruder now, not welcome at all. Walking further into the quiet living room she inhaled his scent that lingered, her eyes filled instantly with tears that she still felt too ashamed to cry. Sitting on the sofa she crossed and uncrossed her legs for what felt like forever. Staring ahead forming words in her head to explain herself or not to explain but to simply tell. There were no explanations for her behaviour for in trying to make them she would be shifting the blame of her actions on to him and he was not at fault here.

Time ticked by and she felt restless, standing up and walking to the door of his bedroom she gingerly pushed open the door and took in the unmade bed still fresh with his aroma. Andromeda found her feet guide her there, found her hands grazing the sheets and picking up his pillow inhaling him deeply into her. Hugging it too her she lay down on the bed, closed her eyes and felt him all around her. Without intending too but having had so many restless nights in so many weeks, Andromeda fell asleep curled up on his bed. Hair splayed out across another pillow as she held tight to the other one. Sleep came and carried her off to a world where she did not royally screw up on a regular basis, where she did not possess a cursed soul, where she had never been untrue ... because here in this one, even in a lifetime... there were not enough ' sorry's ' to account for what she had done.
