It was cold outside, Rebecca didn't necessarily like the cold, but it was better than steaming inside. She figured she could always but a few layers on but inside she couldn't really do much to cool down. So she had put on some pants and long sleeves and a jacket and made her way out on the grounds. It was all
lovely. The ground was white and slick with ice but she was careful. She had only been at Hogwarts a short time so she hadn't seen everything yet. She thought she might go to the lake but after a quick change of mind she walked a ways away from it and she couldn't believe what she saw. They were cliffs, it was white and shiny from the sun. Rebecca had never seen anything like it. She wiped some snow away and pulled her coat down some so she could sit. She wondered if Paul had been here. She was sure her older brother had. He was a second year after all. Rebecca had seen a lot of her brother lately, not that she minded they were good friends. But here there were so many people and she had no other friends yet. It reminded her of the lonely days at the orphan edge while Paul was at school. She had waited a year to come here, and now she was worried her dreams of happiness and friendships may have been just that. a fantasy.
