Kiera sat on a blanket down by the lakefront. She had been utterly bored up in her dorm room, studying for exams, so she had moved the studying outside. Kiera held an extra charms book that she had received for Christmas. Kiera's mind was not on her book. She had been thinking a lot lately of the Seventh years graduation and it made her sad. Kiera was going to miss her older friends. She wanted to stay in touch with them as much as she possibly could. Kiera didn't want to drift apart from any of them.

Kiera's thoughts drifted to her friend, Bellatrix. It seemed they had already begun to drift apart. Kiera frowned at her thoughts. She loved the older girl like a sister and knew that she felt the same way. Even if she rarely showed that side to Kiera or anyone else. Kiera smiled as she thought of how far the two had progressed from their first meeting. Kiera sighed as she turned back to her open charms book.

"Well well well, look who we have here." Bellatrix said with a sneer upon her face as she strode down to the girl on the blanket on the lawn. "Why if it isin't Kingsly, Kiera Kingsly isin't it?" she asked in a joking manor as she reached the blanket and helped her self to a seat. "Its been long my friend," she said. "Too long."

Kiera heard a voice behind her. She would have known that voice anywhere. Kiera had just been thinking of Bellatrix Green. She looked back up to see Bella sitting down. Kiera grinned back at her friend. "Well well look what the cat dragged in." she said teasingly. "Hey Bella. It really has been too long." she said sincerely. Kiera had missed that girl.

"What have you been up to?" Bella asked though her thoughts more reflecting on her own past. Her voice slightly distant as her eyes locked onto her friend.

Kiera smiled slyly at Bella. She noticed that her voice seemed distant, but her eyes were focused on her. Kiera decided to continue with her story. She hadn't seen her friend since she had met Alex. "Well, I have a new boyfriend. His name is Alex Cullen. You might actually like this one. He likes pranks on just about everyone. They are quite funny." she said smiling. Kiera wondered if Bella had met Alex before. "Oh! and my mother is now the Transfiguration professor and she is getting married." she said with a slight distaste. Kiera still wasn't too fond of her own mother.

"What about you?" Kiera asked interestedly. "Where have you been? Its been ages since we talked." she said, slightly scolding.

"No I have never met the bloke and I am not sure I want to if he is going to play a prank on me." Bellatrix chuckled. "But I will for your sake. I'm glad your happy." she then looked like she was about to laugh at more of the news about her mother. "Really? Well I guess....that's fabulous! Goodo for her!" she exclaimed failing at the fake sympathy excitement category. Bella's joy disappeared as Kiera began to ask the questions. "Ummm.... I've been around....just busy. And I am sorry we havint talked....like I said, busy." she answered her tone short and quick as if concealing something.

Kiera laughed. "I'll tell him to leave you alone. He should know better than to mess with my best friend." she said with a happy smile. Kiera forgot how much she really did like Bella while they had been apart. Kiera shook her head at Bellatrix. "Please. That woman should never been around kids. Please say you will come to the wedding to distract me from horrible sappiness of the whole thing." she said pretending to gag. Kiera narrowed her eyes as Bella avoided her questions. Kiera was too quick to pick up on the signs of concealment. Bellatrix had been up to something and didn't want Kiera to know. "Busy?" she said in a questioning tone.

Bellatrix nodded in agreement to attend the wedding. If her other plans of course did not interfere. At Kiera's last question picking up on her evasive tone she averted her eyes. "Yes....busy with things..." she replied her tone stony.

Kiera was happy Bella agreed to come to the wedding. That would make her time much more enjoyable plus with any luck it would make Jacqueline uncomfortable. After all Bella arranged the meeting between the two. Kiera's thoughts moved on that same topic to Bellatrix's cold manner at her last words. Kiera frowned. "You aren't planning on ditching me after you graduate for the Death Eaters are you?" she said bluntly.

Bellatrix's eyes widened and she looked almost shocked. She couldn't contain herself and began to laugh because of the blunt awkwardness of the question. "Why in Merlin's name would you ask such a ridiculous question?" she sputtered. "You know me! I've changed, haven't I." but the last statement was more of a question than a certainty.

Kiera grinned as Bellatrix laughed. It made her feel more comfortable with her friend laughing at her question. It put Kiera's mind to rest for now. She laughed with Bella. "You have definitely changed. My first year you would have never laughed with me." she said teasingly. Bella had changed right?

"Me laugh with you? I think you're laughing with me m'dear!" she cackled. Her eyes now bright and no longer foggy and distant.

Kiera grinned. She could see the change in Bella's eyes. It made her relax. "Okay well maybe that's right." she admitted. "Still laughing all the same." she said with another burst of laughter.

Kiera grinned. "I've been training again. For gymnastics I mean. I want to win this summer at the competition." she said, smiling. She knew Bella would probably think her competitions were stupid.

Bellatrix had only heard of gymnastics a few times, and for the most part it was a foreign sport to her. "Gymnastics? That muggle sport with all the bending and stuff?" she asked her tone slightly confused. "I didn't know you did that..."

Kiera's face was surprised. "Yeah that sport." she said answering the question. "Really? I can't believe I never told you. I've been doing it since I was three." she said still amazing that her best friend didn't know that.

"Ha I guess we just never got on the topic...." Bellatrix stated offhandedly. "And thats a long time.... I am sure you are really good then. I am glad you started again." she stated with a smile.

Kiera was pleased that Bella didn't find her sport dumb. Kiera grinned at her best friend. "You know you can come to the competition this summer if you want. I would like it." she said happily.

"Yeah I would love to....but I may be busy..." she murmured a response hoping Kiera did not catch that last part.

Kiera grinned as she heard the first part of her sentence. It would be awesome to have Bellatrix at her house once again only this time the girl wouldn't be deathly thin. Kiera looked at Bella curiously as she heard the conclusion of the sentence. "Busy? Doing what?" she asked.

"Oh ummm....its nothing...." she continued to mumble. Her insides screaming at her, now what had she done?! Just been honest was all, but honesty now was not the luxury that it use to be.

Kiera's face slipped further into a frown. She knew that tone. "Chill out. No need to yell at me." Kiera told her best friend. "I was just asking." she said knowing better than to push the subject further right now.
