Was it stereotyping to look for a Ravenclaw in the Library? Maybe, but it was a place she hadn't yet checked. So she approached different tables whispering, asking, if they were Ethan Alexander, the yellow rose held clearly in her hand so people would know why she was looking.

Ethan was pretty sure the best place he could hide was the library. He had never experienced a Valentine's day with roses deliveries at the same time but he knew it was something he should try and avoid. It wasn't like he had many friends who send him any. Even after nearly three years he had yet to figure out the whole friend thing. But for now he was content to sit in the library reading his book on the Lock Ness monster when he heard someone asking for him. He looked up and when the girl got closer he waved her down. "You're looking for Ethan?" he asked.

Wednesday perked up upon hearing the boy ask if she was looking for Ethan. "Yes! You see I have a little yellow rose for him. Probably with a cool note on it." She held up the rose so he could see. "Are you Ethan?" She asked, making sure he couldn't just snatch the rose in care he wasn't.

Ethan,

Ethan wasn't sure how to respond to her at first but when she asked if he was Ethan he nodded. "Yeah that's me." he said and held out his hand for the rose and the note. She seemed hesitant to give it to him and he had never done this before so he waited for her next move.

Wednesday smiled. "Good, then this is for you." She handed him the rose since he confirmed who he was. "Have a nice day!" She said with a grin, not wanting to stick around for him to read it. After all, curiosity killed the cat.

Before Ethan could say anything else the other girl had disappeared into the stacks of books and he was left with a rose and a note. Finally he opened the note and was at first stumped. Instead of a message was just his name and a little drawing. He inspected it closer and tried to think of who it could be from. The bowtruckle was the only real hint and he would have to ask Wish about it later. But for now he put the note in his bag and set the rose in front of him before he continued his book.
