Colton Kovac was looking worse and worse with each day that passed. It seemed like yesterday when he had foolishly let Gabrielle out of his life. He never thought that it would ever happen. He had even tried to seek her out after he recovered from his weird chest pains of a broken heart. Colton tried to go back to her old place, only to fail, remembering that Xavier said that she was gone before shutting the door. Colton was desperate. When he entered to work the next day, he begged for his boss to tell him what he knew, and the boss only said that she was on a temporary leave. Nothing about where she was or who she was staying with. He knew better than to talk to Alyssa Chevalier, and avoided her like the plague. Colton figured that he would never find out where she was, and wondered how he would ever see her again, which he wanted to desperately. He had made the mistake to not say anything, and he had wanted to, but fear stopped him. If he could take it back, Colton knew that he would in a heartbeat. Colton wanted to give her everything, and wanted everything for her but could not provide it when she wanted. When she wanted the answer, he was put under pressure and that caused him to freak out. He could not say or do anything, except stand there like a human in front of a dragon about to attack. He was at a loss for doing anything right and he felt really bad about what he had done, and wondered if she did not believe in love, then maybe she would not have asked in the first place. Perhaps she did love him but he was realizing all too late.

Entering into Saint Mungo's to start his shift, Colton had noticed how the staff was slowly starting to avoid him. Ever since that day, he had been a lot colder and even more bitter than before he had met and started dating Gabrielle Snow. Everyone had noticed his behavior, but it was all because he had no idea how to handle all the emotions that he was feeling right now. There was so much on his mind, so much on his chest, he could not even function properly. His dress was not as neat as before, his hair was messed up even worse than before. His skin was paler. His eyes had dark circles around them because he had little sleep at night. Colton could not function properly without the love of his life around, and he did not have her anymore. And he needed her. Colton felt like he was losing his sanity, and losing his mind, but he had to stay in focus. He reached his office, and he opened the door after unlocking it before he managed to get behind his desk and sit down. All around him, he had unfinished letters that he was writing to Gabrielle. He had sent off countless finished ones, but he never received a reply. She must really hate him by now and was wondering if he had really lost her for good. Did he not get a second chance? Was there something in the stars that said that he could not have the love that he needed? Colton folded his arms across his desk, and set his head on his arms. He closed his brown eyes and images of that blonde beauty flooded his mind. He still had her necklace around his neck, and still remembered all the good times. Sometimes he went into the bedroom and just sat in there, hoping and waiting that she would come back. But was she ever going to come back?

<COLOR color="#000">With a frustrated roll of her dark eyes Kalina Engel angrily pushed her way past a couple of Healers as she entered St. Mungos. Although she was a in a brilliantly happy mood, she hated it when people got in her way. It was like they did it on purpose or something and Kalina was not going to stand for that sort of behavior. She was in a hurry anyways. Recently Kalina stumbled onto some very interesting news. News that Colton Kovac and broken up with that snobby blonde he was with for so long. To Kalina it was a dream come true because she it meant that she did not have to worry about Gabrielle getting in her way while she tried to pursue Colton. Kalina felt that she and Colton had a strong shot together. They were together once and even though Kalina had stupidly left she felt that back then they were really good together. They were the best of friends and it was obvious that at one point Colton did care about her. Who was to say that he still couldn't care for her? The blonde was in the way and that was why it didn't work out last time Kalina had come to see him. Thank god his brother's were a couple of squealers. They let it slip by asking her if she knew where Gabrielle was and when she asked why they told her the whole break up and how Colton was trying to find her. It was so sad but Kalina did not want them to get back together. So she started to press her nose in where it didn't belong. Starting with her intercepting letters. Any letter that Gabrielle tried to send to Colton, Kalina got to before he could even know there was a letter. Once she had the letter she would read what it said and then hide it away. They were always really soppy and gross for Kalina to read. They always said something about how much Gabrielle missed him, how she was stupid to leave him, how she wanted him back and missed holding. One of them to her great interest contained the fact that Gabrielle was also pregnant and must have fallen that way before the break up happened. Kalina was definitely glad that she had gotten a hold of that one. By this point she probably had a good twenty letters just from Gabrielle alone. This didn't count the ones she intercepted from Colton. Which were all just as obnoxious to read. Thank god they had slowed down because Kalina wasn't sure if she wanted to keep reading the absolutely bullsh*t they wrote to one another. One day while Colton was off to lunch, or wherever he was, the blonde snot herself stopped by. Hell she even looked pregnant, and sick. Like she had suffered from a bad cold or disease. Colton was gone but the entire time Kalina pretended he was in his office and that he never wanted to see the girl again and would appreciate it if she stop bothering him. She looked really hurt too. But Kalina found that look to be one of victory for her. Because after that Gabrielle had ceased all contact. Now it was time for Kalina to swoop in and take her man back.

Reaching the office door Kalina knocked once before she entered the office. Wow this place really was a mess. So was Colton. Oh this was getting to be so silly. "Geez Colton, you look like crap." It wasn't nice to say but he deserve to know that it was obvious to her that he wasn't taking care of himself very well. But her voice was soft because she was going to force herself to be kind and gentle so he wouldn't start crying or some crap like that. She needed him to trust her and fall for her so if that meant being soft and caring she could give it an attempt. A moment of silence passed by and Kalina carried herself into the room so she could lay a hand on Colton's head, it was what she assumed to be a comforting gesture. "I heard what happened between you and your girl, oh Colt I am so sorry. Maybe-you two were just not meant to be." Kalina tried to sound comforting to him. But she really just wanted to laugh and point out how stupid he was for becoming interesting in a blonde twit like her. He had no one to blame but himself but now Kalina was going to fix everything. She was going to erase Gabrielle from his mind completely He would be so thankful that she had too. Kalina removed her pale hand from Colton's head and rested a hand on his back now. He really needed someone to take care of him right now. He was not well and it was all that girl's fault. All of it. She had ruined the man he once was.

Colton may be looking pretty bad, but his mood decreased tenfold when a certain someone came into his office that he really just did not want to see. His former girlfriend Gabrielle, he would love to see, but not Kalina Engel, someone that he despised even now that he was not with someone that was twenty times better than her scummy ass. Colton knew better than to have a rebound because in his heart he knew that he only wanted one, and that one was Gabrielle Snow. Colton was ignorant of the treacherous girl stealing their letters so that they would not ever see each other, and that she had turned her away once before. Colton needed to pay more attention to the owls that he used. Or better yet, get one of his own for himself. Colton slowly raised his head off of his desk and narrowed those cold, bitter eyes on Kalina as she told him that he looked like crap. Colton could say so many hurtful things however he remained silent for the time being. Colton averted his eyes no longer wanting to even look at Kalina because of the way he hated her, it would show indefinitely in his chocolate eyes. And the look of hatred did not suit him very well because he would look similar to Salazar Slytherin himself. Then again, why should he care what he looked like when he looked at her? She deserved to know how he felt about her. Colton tapped his finger on his desk and he glared at her, "Like I care what you think I look like. But I look like this because I thought that my hot body would really put yours to shame." Colton was really bitter sounding to her and he did not care how bad it was. He hated her and she had a right to know it. For some reason, he wanted to just leave work because he did not need to put up with this crap. Not from someone that he did not need to hear it from. Colton did not care how he looked or even how he took care of himself even though he did not really do that anyway. He had no reason to dress himself up, no reason to comb his luscious hair, nothing now that the love of his life could not be found no matter how hard he had looked to find her. If he knew where her mother was, he would beg her to just point him in the right direction.

However he did not think that it would work out in his favor. Colton was smart, and messing with a woman that apparently loved to kill was not one of his fortes of speaking with. He had never spoken with a killer before, other than someone that wanted an abortion but he did not think that it would be the same thing. Colton flinched from her touch when she placed her hand on his head. He had no idea where that hand has been so he did not want it all over his hair. Colton did not need her comforting, thinking that it had been false too because she was not the type to really be sorry for anything like this. His brothers or someone must have squealed to her that he and Gabrielle were meant to be. Colton growled, "Stop touching me, Engel." Colton did not move from his chair but he scooted a bit away from her. Not even she had seen him when he got mad and that would not be a pleasant sight considering the two bloods that had crossed in his genetic works. He rolled his eyes when he even thought that Kalina would be remotely sorry. Colton turned his eyes and he gave her the coldest glare that he could ever give to a human being, or even someone that should not be a human walking this earth. That whole 'not meant to be' crap was really enough, because in his heart, he knew that they were. "Listen here, I don't need your false sympathy, and I sure don't need you telling me that we are not meant to be, when I know that Gabrielle and I are meant to be together. I know that in my heart, and I am more determined now to get her back than ever before. And once I find her, I will tell her everything, and possibly even ask her to marry me. So, get these little ideas of whatever you are thinking out of that bulbous head, get out of my office and my life. I don't know how stupid you must be if you did not get the hint last time." Colton's voice was raised, and he spoke his mind, which was a common thing of him to do when he was feeling strongly about something. Oh how he wanted to go and find her. She has to be in New Zealand somewhere, and he was going to seek her out or something. He loved her, and he did not ever want to lose her.

<COLOR color="#000">Kalina rolled her eyes. Boys were so stupid and naive when it came to things like love and Kalina believe that Colton was no different either. If he was going to be rude and nasty to her when she was only trying to help then she was certainly not going to show him any compassion. She was going to tear him apart and make him feel the true ugliness of a broken heart. Although he moved away from her Kalina advanced on him like a looming dementor. When he mentioned that he was going to tell Gabrielle everything and possibly even ask her to marry him, Kalina lost it and decided to let him have all she had seething inside. "Ugh you two make me absolutely sick with your whole puppy love act. Do you honestly think that there is such thing as a happy ending? You couldn't even tell her that you loved her, how the hell do you expect to ask her to marry you?! Moron." Kalina rolled her eyes again and pushed a stack of papers onto the floor and watched as they blew in various places. Sound of footsteps and people talking passed the door as patients and healers went to their destination. But they were oblivious about the verbal fight going on inside the office right now. Kalina was barely aware of anything but her anger. As far as she was aware, it was about three months or so since the pair had broken up and he couldn't find her so how did he expect to fix what he had already messed up when he couldn't even find her. Plus if he was too scared to do it then he was probably going to be so scared to do it now. The Snows were awfully intimidating people when they wanted to be. Kalina was pretty sure that if Gabrielle wanted to she could tear him down. But she cared about him too much, which made Kalina sick. She wanted them to fight while they were broken up. But all she saw was moping and sad faces. "And if you two are so meant for one another, where is she now? Far the hell away from you that's where! You can tell yourself that you belong together all you want but look around. You're all alone. You're falling apart without her, but if I remember correctly, I saw her the other day leaving with some really mean looking guy." Kalina was just being cruel and she knew that this may just bother him. The thing about Gabrielle being seen the other day, or who she thought was Gabrielle, with some very tall and scary looking guy was true too. There was a woman as well but she wasn't going to tell Colton that. Her job right now was to get Colton going, see if she could stress him out. Make him lose his cool. At first she wanted to comfort him and be with him, but he destroyed that as fast as he put it out there. Kalina wanted to show him that this was what he got for being so rude to her.

Suddenly she got an idea. A very cruel idea. Kalina went into her purse and dug around until she found a stack of letters all tied together with a piece of string. "See this large stack of letters here? They are to you, from Gabrielle. I have been making sure I get them instead of you. I read all of them too, they are just....so disgusting. How much she misses you, that she's sorry, asking why you have not written her back, if you missed her. How much she cares about you. Oh and I've made sure that your letters never reach her either, isn't that just.....hilarious?" Kalina pretended to hold them out for Colton to take them from her, but once she thought she was about to she retracted them and lifted her wand to them. A simple Incendio was was said by her and next thing either of them knew, the letters engulfed in a puff of flames. Burning into a crisp and falling to the floor in a pile of ashes. "Oh and one of these days while you were at lunch she came by but- I told her that you didn't want to see her and that you wanted her to leave you alone from now on. She agreed and left looking oh so sad. She looked pregnant too but she could have just gained weight from the stress."

Colton could not believe what he was hearing. Then again, how in the world did she know that? Colton stood up by this point and he took out his wand. He waved it at the stack of papers that she waved off of his desk and they settled back onto his desk neatly. The way that she loomed on after him. It was not really something that he wanted to hear. Colton rolled his eyes once more before he stated coldly, "What is the matter, jealous that no one would ever love you like I do Gabrielle? No one loves a selfish, slutty b*tch." Colton was tired of hearing her. This was his office, his job, and his life. He did not want her in here any longer. Colton was strong, and he was fighting against the will to just yell and scream at her but his voice and his face was utterly calm. It was definitely eerie. He did not want her to get around him or even touch him. She was at first wanting to comfort him and now she was showing her true colors. That was interesting, and he was doubting that she came here really for him. Perhaps she wanted him back and knowing that he wanted no one else except the one he loved. Colton had been without the love of his life for three months now, and he was getting sick of it. Not only that, he felt like he was being watched by something else other than Kalina and that all on its own was just weird. Colton thought that she was lying when she said that Gabrielle had left with some mean looking guy, and that concerned him but he figured that it might have been one of her relatives, so it did not worry him so much. Gabrielle would be safe right now and that was for the best. Colton was glad that she was with someone but he wanted to know where she was, and how she was. But he had no way to find her and no leads. He needed something, and he wanted someone to help him but no one would help him at all.

However he was expecting her to leave now but she did not seem to want to leave just yet. Then she pulled out a stack of letters and he noticed that they have been intercepted. Oh, those seemed to look familiar, like Gabrielle's handwriting. He could not believe that she had stooped this far. Colton had never been this mad before, and he wanted nothing more but to have Kalina thrown out of here. What she said, it was something else. Gabrielle missed him, and wanting him back perhaps as badly as he wanted her. He needed her, she was like his coffee which he had started drinking twice the amount because he could not really live without. Hilarious was not what he would call it. He reached out to get then but then she set them on fire, and then they were on the floor in a pile of ashes. He could never reform them, and he glared harshly at the woman. He then was told that she came by while he was out on lunch, and then she looked pregnant. Oh god, she was pregnant. And he had to see her. It was a kick to the gut, but he instead did not channel those feelings into anything else but solid and uncontrollable wrath. Colton went toward her and he actually did something that he had never done before. He shoved her hard before he waved his wand. The door burst open and he used a Banishing Charm to toss her out of the room. He slammed the door and he called security to escort her off of the premises. He locked his office door and he sank down to the ground. He brought his knees to his chest and he thought of her. She could be pregnant and she might be very sick. And he was not even there with her to help her, to heal her. He felt like a failure. Then his chocolate eyes landed on something that he had not noticed before. There was a white kitten in the room. He thought that it looked like a stuffed animal. He stood up and he went to sit behind his desk. He was such a bad person, for letting some girl do that to Gabrielle and to him. He should have never taken that lunch or else they would not be in that mess. But nothing helped because Gabrielle was no where he could find. What was he going to do?

Nicolette thought the Asian looking girl she was following through the Hospital was awful stupid for not noticing the entire time she had been walking a small white cat had been following her every move. Only a complete fool failed to notice that, it was abnormal for a cat to do so but this airhead had yet to notice one bit. So when she reached the office door that she presumed was Colton's, the cat-form of Nicolette slid through the crack of the door and followed her figure inside. 'God her voice is annoying as hell too, should have just tortured her until she told me where Colton was then killed her sorry ass.' She thought to herself as she sat on the floor and stared up at what must be Colton. He did look awful depressed. Perhaps he was just as lonely and sad as Gabrielle was which meant that they were obviously not ready to leave one another. That left her with no choice, she just had to wait for the Asian to leave before she went back to normal. Because being human would make her more likely to kill the little snot. That was just how annoying she was to her. But she could wait for her to leave and she would wait awhile if she had to, she used to do this all the time back her youth so she figured she couldn't be that rusty at it. The pair quarreled and fought about love and marriage and Colton having the balls to ask her to marry him being unlikely because he couldn't even say he loved her. Nicolette sort of agreed with that part but she knew that there was more to it than just having the balls to do it. But this was taking a little too long and Nicolette wished one of both of them would just hurry up and leave so she didn't have to listen to this anymore. The letters that Kalina had Nicolette knew she did, she picked up on that early but she didn't think she would be weird enough to go through and read them. What a loser. The visit she knew about as well because she as waiting to take Gabrielle home in tears when she heard that Colton 'didn't' want to see her anymore. Then the boy finally snapped, grew a pair and threw the Asian chick out. Nicolette never bothered to learn her name. It wouldn't matter soon.

Nicolette had been to busy paying attention to notice Colton sink to the floor but when she turned her attention she almost felt bad for him. She also partially thought he was being a baby. But finally his eyes landed on Nicolette herself and she wondered if he finally noticed. But then he got up and went to his desk. 'God.....' Nicolette figured now was as good of a time as any to reveal herself. With a relief of breath she felt herself transform to her normal, less furry form. Nicolette's golden eyes flicked onto Colton and she rested her hands on her hips to look at him with a lot of slightly amusement and slight annoyance. "Wow Gabrielle wasn't kidding, you are an awful mope." Then she sat herself on what she guessed was an examination table and crossed her legs, she she started to stare at her nails boredly. She would not say more, but she hoped he would connect two and two and either start to wonder who she was and what she had to do with Gabrielle or provoke her so she could bully him around a little.

Colton was still amazed at himself for throwing out Kalina completely from his office and was probably the best accomplishment that he had ever had since he became a healer. If only he had backhanded her when he saw it happen in his mind, then it would have been even more satisfying, but he had taught himself that one would never hit a girl no matter what she had done to deserve it. So being thrown out of an office on her ass was good enough for the Healer. Colton enjoyed that perhaps a little too much anyway. Colton was still wondering on what that animal that looked like it was stuffed was doing in his office because he was not a fan of animals nor did he like anything that was stuffed. Colton thought that perhaps Gabrielle had left it in his office to give it a more homey feeling to it. Colton shrugged lightly, and he averted his eyes to his hands that were resting on his desk. Gabrielle had written to him many times and he would never know what she had written to him in the letters. And if he saw her again, would she ever believe that Kalina had been the one that snatched the letters? Would she even want to see him again after that lie? But why did she believe Kalina in the first place when she told her mistakenly that he did not want to see her when in fact he craved to have her back into his arms and safe. If only she would be here with him right now, and if she was in fact pregnant, and if she was big, then he knew that it was his own. She would not have time to even get pregnant by another man.

However what Colton was not paying any attention to was that the stuffed animal was moving and then it transferred into a human. Colton was staring at his hands and deep in thought on how to get to Gabrielle when the key to get to her was in the room with him. But it was not until he heard a voice when he managed to look up and jump out of his chair in surprise, but had to grab a hold of a filing cabinet just to remain standing. How did she get in here? With the office door locked, he would have heard someone use a spell and open the door and close it again. Perhaps she had been that white kitten that he had thought for a stuffed animal. It would make sense, but it was not every day that Colton met an animagus. He let out a sigh and he muttered something in Slovakian that was pretty much cursing himself before he realized what the beautiful woman had just said. She knew something that he did not and she also knew Gabrielle! Which meant that maybe she was staying with her. Colton straightened up a little bit, and wondered if this woman had been the scary man's wife because she looked like she could hurt someone as well with that gleam in her golden eyes. So he would have to trend the rope carefully. Colton inquired, "Is Gabrielle staying with you? If so, could you take me to her or even bring her here." His voice was soft, almost pleading, but he wanted to make sure that he did not sound like a complete mope like this woman just said to him as well. This may be the only chance he had to see Gabrielle and he did not want to spoil it.

Nicolette couldn't help but snort when Colton jumped out of his seat in surprise and grabbed a hold of the filing cabinet for support. Young People these days scared so easily so it was quite humorous for Nicolette to see someone actually act scared, she never managed to do that to Kalif. "Awh, did I frighten you? Sorry, I had to disguise myself so it'd be less likely for that oaf to notice I was tailing her. It took a lot of willpower not to break her damned neck though." Nicolette rolled her eyes and rested her hands on her hips as she surveyed Colton. He looked like he was a mess and she hadn't even seen what he looked like before. Just by the way Gabrielle described him and the way he looked now didn't add up so either she was exaggerating or he was failing at taking care of himself. Most likely the latter because Gabrielle wasn't the type to exaggerate. The young woman was actually a lot like Kalif, a tad bit on the more carefree and loving side though. So it was a good thing that she had come when she should because Nicolette was intending on giving that boy a swift kick in the arse to knock some sense and reality into him. She was sent here on Gabrielle's word but she wasn't sure if she was supposed to tell him that or not, she was only checking on anyways. Once it clicked in Colton's mind that she knew Gabrielle the signs of desperation began to kick in and he was suddenly like a small child begging for candy. He asked if Gabrielle was staying with her and that if she was could he see her or could she come to see him. It was cute how much he wanted to see her but Nicolette found it sad and almost pathetic. But she could not talk much. She was sure if her and Kalif had issues like this she would try anything to see him too. Although love often strengthened people, there was times when it make you weak and vulnerable. Right now Colton was stuck in a very vulnerable place and he wanted to see her so badly. It was hard not to feel sorry for him actually. Because after knowing what went down, she could guess that he was not over her just like Gabrielle wasn't over him. The blonde breathed out heavily and closed her eyes for a moment. Oh what to do about this? There was a lot of decision's to make. In the end she decided that over anything, she would just love to mess with him a little to see how much he really could handle.

"Perhaps she is. Perhaps she isn't. But I do know where she is." Oh this was going to be fun and absolutely priceless. He was making it easy and if he really wanted to see Gabrielle he would have to put up with it. If he was smart he would figure out that Nicolette was messing with him pretty quickly, of course she wouldn't hurt him or anything. Kalif would probably have a fit if she got herself into trouble and Gabrielle would never forgive her if she damaged him. Nicolette knew she shouldn't be messing like she was but out of boredom and trying to keep herself from laughing the whole time she began to go through the things in his office. When Nicolette worked here she had a office similar to this so she knew just about where everything was. As she started to fiddle through a wad of paper's she turned to Colton her smile of amusement gone. Well what was she supposed to do now other than just tell him the right out truth that she could not take him to her and she could not bring her to him so there was no way he could get what he wanted. "I can't bring Gabrielle to you because she is in delicate condition. And I can't bring you to her because she sent me here to check on you and make sure you were doing okay. She told me not to tell you where she was, sooooo sorry kiddo no can do." It was probably going to upset him but that was the way it was. With a soft smile she ruffled his already messy hair and went towards the door, pretending as if she was going to leave. She wanted to see just how much he would fight, how stubborn he would be about this. Because when did Gabrielle really listen to what anyone told her anyways, Gabrielle's intentions could easily be ignored.

</i>

Colton never thought that he would be in here with some blonde woman that would seem like she knew a lot anyway. He wondered what all she knew. How did she know how to find him? Well, if she knew Gabrielle then she would figure it out through her, but to follow Kalina in here? Colton had so many questions for her, but her first comment was about Kalina and he could not help but laugh a little bit. She had quite the mouth on her, did she not? Colton was feeling the same way and thought that maybe, with some time, he could come to trust this witch and see who she was and why she was here. Colton commented, "You and me both. Try dealing with her for years upon years and see how long you last." Colton shrugged lightly, and thought that this woman was a little entertaining but he could not trust her right now. She was a stranger to him, and Colton seemed to have gained just a little bit of his old self back, he was not going to change just for some stranger though. Colton narrowed his cold, brown eyes on the woman that was in the office. Colton wanted to act as an adult as he could, and hoped that one day he was going to be able to see Gabrielle, and to Colton Kovac, this was the only way. This woman was the key and he would try anything and do anything to see Gabrielle. Hell, he would become a Death Eater just to see her, or even an Auror, anything or anyone to see her. Colton did not think that this woman would even know what he was feeling right now but he was unsure of what would end up happening in the end. Sooner or later, he would follow along and see where this woman went so that he could follow and find Gabrielle and see if she was pregnant. He hoped that if she was pregnant then he would be able to take care of her. He needed to take care of her, be there for her and see her through the pregnancy, however long it lasted. He did not think that it would take too long for the baby to end up miscarrying.

However her little cryptic talk made him roll his eyes out of sheer annoyance. Colton hated that type of talk but she was not really answering his question, however she said that she knew where Gabrielle was. Colton narrowed his eyes and he wondered what this woman was playing at. However he sank back into his chair and he stared up at her with his brown eyes. The Healer noticed that she was fiddling with his things and he wondered what she was doing, and if she planned on ever being less cryptic. Colton just hoped that she was playing around but right now seeing as she was a stranger to him and he did not know her, he did not know for sure and would not know either until he was given more signs. It was when she said that she could not bring Gabrielle to him because of a condition when the truth was out. She had to be pregnant and that was it. So, that would not be possible, but at least he knew that bit of information. However there was nothing else. Gabrielle did not want him to find her, and this woman that he thought was the key for him to see her had faded into a bliss of hopelessness. Colton moved her touch and he could not help but thing that this all was a joke. A very cruel joke, because she was toying with his feelings, and he had a urge of fury. Colton said, his voice lacking any emotion, "Really, you follow some b*tch into a large hospital, just to deliver a message and you won't even take the one that loves her to her to aid her? Either you are joking, or you are ignorant to how much love affects the mind and soul. You wouldn’t have to tell me where she is, just lead me to her then you won't be lying. Otherwise, you have no other business here in Saint Mungo's at least not on this maternity floor." Colton let out a sigh and knew that right now he was being stubborn, but he could not keep her here if she wanted to leave. Colton did not want to force anything because he was not that type of person. Colton closed his eyes for a moment in thought, before he turned his body from the door so that he could maybe hear it shut, as well as probably go follow her after a few seconds.

Nicolette and she wasn't shy about it. With a flick of her wrist she revealed the dark mark on her left arm and all it's glory to Colton. It practically glowed compared to her pale skin. "People like her really don't fare well with people like me. She'd be dead and possibly ripped into pieces in less than ten minute's. Besides her voice gives me headaches." Nicolette covered the mark up and then pulled her sleeve down to cover the mark. Although she knew she should be rather weary of showing the mar but she knew that he would keep his mouth shut. For one she was the only thing connecting him to Colton and if he got her into trouble he'd never know where his precious Gabrielle was and that would ruin everything he was pretty much standing for. Second if he really did care for Gabrielle like he claimed he did then she knew for a fact that he would have to deal with powerful dark wizards and witches on a daily basis. Plus his own family had a bit of dark history in it so if he wanted to play it on the dirty side then she wouldn't be too afraid to lay it all out. That was a strong advantage of being old as was. She knew a lot about the other Death Eaters that had been around for awhile and she could easily study up on the newer ones too, even if they were obnoxious and stupid as hell. But she supposed that they had to learn the hard way like she did when she first got involved. Nicolette continued to sort through the pile of papers with slight interest. She used to work at St. Mungos so this was sort of like a trip down memory lane for her. In a way she hated it."I remember when I used to work here, I didn't work anywhere near this floor though, makes me remember your father when he was your age. You two act a lot alike, though Arin was far better with the ladies than you were." Then again Nicolette didn't know Colton as well as she did his father, well she didn't at first. Gabrielle talked about him enough so that she thought she just might know more than she needed to. But she always saw Arin making friends with pretty girls. But otherwise they seemed a lot alike and Nicolette wondered if Colton knew that his father and he were as similar as they were. Did Colton even know anything about his father? Probably. He was adopted out, perhaps he needed to learn a little bit of his family history once he got this whole issue with Gabrielle settled out.

"Pretty much. Bu-eh? You love her? Well it's about time you admit it out loud, too bad it wasn't to the person you should have said it to." Joking or ignorant hm? That sort of irked Nicolette off but she knew he was just upset because he wasn't getting his way and he must have really wanted to see Gabrielle. "Shows how much you know you little brat. I know very much how love can affect a person, I just don't act like a little baby about. " Nicolette neatly re-stacked the pile of papers and narrowed her eyes for a moment as if warning him to shut his mouth before she gave him something to complain about. She could very well just Apparate right now to the Styx Manor and let him suffer without the love of his life. But she was considered on going against Gabrielle's request and bringing him there anyways. He clearly missed her and wasn't going to be happy until he at least saw her. But Nicolette couldn't promise that things were going to go by smoothly. Especially since Gabrielle was so much like her mother. "Follow me." Nicolette motioned for him to follow her as she opened the office door and stepped outside. She would take him to the Styx Manor if he dared to follow her.
